Deponia

This is the only game I beat in January that I haven't posted about yet. msboring27 and I played this for the January monthly theme (Team Assassins). We have opposite time zones and were rarely able to talk in real time, yet along play at the same time, but we left messages for each other about what was going on in the game. Deponia was funny and gave us a lot to talk about, but I would recommend it more for its story and characters than its puzzles, which would leave players trying to use every item on everything else.

That said, the results of the puzzles are funny anyway

Also, Deponia is my first completed ABC game. Maybe I'll come up with a somewhat fancier way to announce my ABC progress in the future, but for now I'll just say there's one down.

Congrats on the progress, it’s quite a lot!

How did you like the Wolf Among Us ? And Last word?

Oh and did you find Road Not Taken as hard as you first thought it would be?

Trilled Meow

I wrote about those in previous posts, but I really enjoyed Wolf Among Us and Last Word. Last Word was one of the more unique RPGs I’ve played in a while, and I would love to play a more expansive game like it. Arguments with people is a good replacement for battles/physically fighting creatures that allows for a different type of story.

And Road Not Taken became pretty easy by the time I finished it. The last level was kind of hard and took me several tries, but during that I also learned how some objects worked better than I did before, which would have made it easier to save more kids if I had known.

Oops sorry, I missed the updates. I’m glad you enjoyed Last word, it’s such a weird but interesting concept and the game deserves more love :)

Nice progress!
I think the puzzles in deponia (1-3…4th was a mess) were pretty intuitive all things considering you just had to think “what is the worst thing that could happen and how do i go about doing it-oh turn the baby dolfins into tuna you say? Perfect…”

Trilled Meow

Yeah, if only I were just a bit more depraved, it would have been immediately clear that stimulants and tranquilizers were to be used on the cute little kitties. Gotta love how Rufus can cause so much chaos while being completely self-absorbed and delusional.

the best part is when you don’t know if hes clueless or not and like things are exploding all around but right around him its fine.
