what in the god damn.
So, what’s cool about steamgifts is if there’s a game you’re not sure about, you can pop it in your wishlist and put it near the bottom and if a giveaway comes up about it, you can enter it. And then you can win it. And then you can not only play it but be asked to play it for a monthly challenge. And then… it can make you want to pull your own wrist tendons out in 60 minutes or less.
Viscera Cleanup Detail is a cleaning simu - you know what I feel really guilty for stopping so early so I don’t even feel knowledgeable enough to write a review in any way shape or form. I just do not want to play this game. I thought it would be fun and relaxing but it’s really fiddly. My girlfriend watched me play it. She asked ‘is there any point to what you’re doing?’ I said no. She asked ‘do you want to keep playing?’ and I said ‘I super do not, but I have to - ‘ and then she called me a dingus and told me to just put it down and play something else if I wasn’t having fun. I’m… you know? I’m good.
Next up: Let’s try this again. Monthly challenge, four of five - it’s Dex time.

I think I mentioned it with some ppl here before: There is no shame in abandoning a game. Gaming is supposed to be fun and if you just force yourself to keep going it’s no use.
So even saying that….. I can’t follow that idea that easy myself sigh
Though I gave up on one game. Haven’t even touched it, just put it aside :D

That counts as personal progress, ninglor! That’s good. And normally I’m all for it, but this one was an SG win, and part of the challenge and I wanted to like it… luckily my gf is here to set me straight.
Yeah! It’s still pretty brand new, but within a few months I’m sure it’ll be in something for discounts. It is a very cute game. and it’s okay - (un?)luckily I don’t have a monopoly on having had a crappy dad. He was like 49% good and 51% awful

Yeah, I guess you are right. I mean my dad also has his faults. Like having problems with showing his emotions and me suffering under that. But all in all I think I have a pretty awesome dad - I mean, he still didn’t kick me out and all that :D

Lol, that’s one adverse reaction XD At least you tried and know that’s not for you :) Tbh, you don’t actually have to play all the challenge games (just one, and you already played more than that). Not to mention there was nothing else to chose from for the SG win category. So now you played them all - congrats :) I guess everyone has those early SG mistake wins, that once seemed like a good idea to maybe play, but we wouldn’t enter for those now.
True…. but people were talking about badges and I want that badge for doing all of them! If it counts, though, it counts, and I appreciate your kindness. c:
That’s a very good point. If you do not enjoy it, scrap it and get another game installed. That said, I actually loved VCD and finished most of the levels. But I can understand that is a game that will appeal a very limited number of players.
I hope you have more fun with Dex!
I WANTED to like it, but everything was just so… I dunno. Inconvenient? Have to pick up every piece of trash/bullet casing one by one, the physics are really sensitive. It’s really one of those games that are like ‘job’ games - where it’s just straight up replicating you having this job and that’s it, it is a 1:1 translation. But I can see that that sort of thing just hits the spot with other players, who likes to balance challenge with meditation.
And, you know? I totally am!! I’m really enjoying myself so far and I’m about to start it up right now.
