Nice, short, adventure!
As usual I take my time playing but you can finish it faster (there's even an achievement for beating the game in less than an hour, to better let you understand how long it is) so, if you have it, you can squeeze it basically between every other big game you may be playing, or even between jobs, as I did :)
The Little Acre has a cute style and, at the same time, its world is very detailed. Sorry, I meant worlds: our usual Earth, in a classic 2.5D visual, and the tiny isometric world of Clonfira.
Together with Aidan and his daughter Lily, you'll travel between those two worlds and meet other characters along the way (more or less weird, depending on where you are).
The whole atmosphere is pretty casual and light-hearted; yes, The Little Acre follows "canonical" stories' plot and has its sad moments but overall they're a minimal part of the (albeit short) story and I also felt like they tried to mantain a positive attitude even in those moments.
Puzzles are well made but not really hard, if that's what you're looking for; but let's not forget that this is the first published game by Pewter Games; let's give them to improve (that is, if they're interested in making harder puzzles). If they plan on focusing on casual games, I think they're already doing pretty well :)
I've missed some achievements but, given its rather short length, I may try to get some more in the future. Don't think I'll be able to get the speedrun one as I usually suck at those..

Loved this little game! I played it with my kids (5yo) and they loved it too. It was easy enough that they could “help” me with the solutions. They liked the included art book also. I’m terrible at speedruns, but if you try it right after you’ve finished it and the game is still fresh in your mind, it really is quite doable– there’s some extra time in there for padding. (Although TBH, I did it alongside with a speedrun video because I didn’t want to leave anything to chance– but I think I could have done it without it).
heh, it’s not hard to believe it ^_^
Being a point and click I think that maybe I could do it =P
I need other two runs anyway, one for getting missing achievements and one for the speedrun.. we’ll see :)
