Quick Update and I have a new plan.
Last week and a bit I played through the three Hector episodes. (sg win)
-
Hector: Ep 1
-
Hector: Ep 2
-
Hector: Ep 3
-
The Walking Dead
None of them have any achievements :/ 's sad
I also went back played through the 4th episode of the walking dead!
Hense the "telltale update"...meh I'm kinda pushing it with that one I didn't even finish the walking dead I just wanted to use a banner nu bully >_<
Okay now that the update is out of the way the main meat off this post is I've decided to make a plan.
everyone else has one >_<. imma try to fit in. but because I don't have a huge backlog I didn't think it was that important until now. The idea of making an attack plan is to limit your backlog to a few titles to make it seem more manageable and idk.
Anyways making lists on arbitrary concepts is fun so my limitation while making this list is I wanted 1 game of each letter of the alphabet. turns out I started making it and then reached y and z and found I didn't have any :/
ikr how original I bet this has been done plenty of times already.
My plan is to work on this list and abandon it whenever I get a SG win (well put it on hold) then get back to it when I have nothing in my unplayed wins again.
I'm not sure how I want to attack this list tbh.
If anyone could help me figure it out that would be appreciated. I'm going start off trying to work through it sequentially and see where it goes from there. I wonder if that will be too hard tho. maybe just wanting to complete all the items is enough.
I also don't know if I should have a time limit. should I try to play this list by a certain date? and if so how much should I put into each one. is trying each enough or should I put the effort into beating them all.
any feedback/support/input is appreciated.
EDIT: Recently a bunch of people have been joining me and I think thats pretty cool but they are all asking for my permission so I'm just going say I give everyone and everyone permission to do whatever the hell they want cause I don't own copyrights or anythign asfk

I like the ABC attempt! It looks fun :]
Hope you’ll enjoy all the games!
Happy backlog killing :)
So, did you like Hector? Or did you write this and am I blind, apparently
I have a key for it, but I’m not sure if I should activate it on my account..
Good luck with your plan! I don’t really have any advice, just make sure you keep having fun and it doesn’t turn into a chore :)
Hector Has some good humor going for it at times.
some things made me chuckle. and I ended up taking slightly longer cause I was looking at everything to hear the descriptions of stuff (look at shoelaces “I could use this to hang myself” etc)
however a whole bunch of the humor is also just low brow/toilet humor so it just falls flat for me. (but seeing as how theirs prostitutes everywhere its not for children)
and yes I mentioned the humor because its the biggest thing it has going for it.
I wasn’t super fond of some of the gameplay things (it took me awhile before I figured out the controls. click once to look twice to use and make sure to double click everything in your inventory so you can make sure its not something else)
also maybe daedalic games have spoiled me but I really like being able to double click on a door and insta move through it instead of waiting for your character to walk all the way over.
I also have mixed feelings about the puzzles/a bunch of them are nonsesical and I don’t really feel like they could have been discovered on thire own BUT the game employs its own hint system complete with full walk through right in game
and while I had to use the hint system in basically every area it was kinda fun to read.
so its a mixed bag if you really like point and click games and aren’t offended by coarse humor then it is definitely worth your time but other than that I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone specifically
Thanks a lot for your comments on the game, they’re really helpful.
I guess the game is not for me :P I’ll make a giveaway for it and hope someone enjoys it.
What? No intention to 100 % Crypt of the Necrodancer ^^ ? But seriously, what are your criteria for chosing games to 100 %? Is it genre or style or arbitary by “This looks doable”? Just asking because if Kero Blaster is in the same league of difficulty as Cave Story then you are in for a lot of frustration
I started off and added everything I was currently working on 100% completing *ie the witcher 3 etc
then somewhere along the lines it became a “this looks dooable” sort of thing
around the time it switched to being an abitrary list I ended up just adding all the visual novels I own to it and now idek anymore.
tbh the reason kero blaster is on there is because cave story is one of my all time favorite games and I’ve beaten it nearly 15 times these past 12 something years
also while its a plan its also probably my most flexible list (every thing on it I’ve completed so far has been removed) and if I end up disliking a game/finding it too difficult then I’ll probably just remove it.
that being said in terms of this list everything with a “plan to 100%” is closer to being games I plan to play through in its entirety before continuing. vs some of these I will just put in my best shot.
I like you plan, play the games until you win something and then put it on hold. But i guess i couldn’t use that approach since i have plenty of SG games to play and it would take forever. Adding games by ABC to list is nice concept, once you finish 1 game you could add next one with that letter. And missing some letters there is fine, you could see it as progress :)
As for the games in the list, i can say that TIMEframe is interesting(in my opinion), easy to 100% and short walking simulator game. Hope you like it :D
heyyy nice plan that way my list will stay there forever-when I reach the end I’ll loop around back to A!
yeah I haven’t gotten a huge amount of wins so I’ve been able to play them all as soon as I get them/not gain a huge backlog of them
Sry, I totally skipped the part with your question, I thought it was something about the game and… now I feel super embarrassed blush
So on to your questions: I would totally go by how you feel about the games from the list. What ever you feel like, take it. That of course makes you play those games last, that you prefer least. So… you might wanna throw every now and then a game in you don’t prefer :]
Also I would play the whole story. Unless you notice you absolutely don’t wanna finish it. Then don’t. And the moment you finished the story and feel like more: Do it. It’s totally fine to enjoy a game :)
So that’s how I would do it :)
enough people have said I should go through alphabetically that I think thats the way I’m going go >_<
I’m wondering if playing this list semi out of order but FINISHING them in order counts as cheating hmmmm.
Well I did some thinking about how to do it as well. (I even made a poll on sg.) And yes, alphabetically seems to be preferred. By release date seemed also rather smart to me, since old games only become worse not better, so I’d rather get them of the list today then tomorrow. But I haven’t started yet. Also I’ve thrown that idea over board and made a mix - you can see the idea on my profile description :D
Well semi is alright if you have reasons for it. Like hating/not enjoying a game is a pretty good reason to abandon one. But then again, you don’t need to rush through this, right? It’s not like you have to complete this list by… tomorrow, or is it? ;)
Take your time and enjoy it!
>_<
plus I just won something on SG anyways so who knows how often an occurrence this will be (abandoning the plan to play a win I mean)
Happy don’t worry I’m not stealing this from you I even made it extra long Killing
Ah, yes. You see, that’s why I have priorities. They just come and go. Like Themes also have priority over my gaming system, so… there we go. I’ll never finish my batch :D
You sneaky one! :D
But! You may use it. I have no monopol to it ;) It also means that… it sticks with ppl, right? :D
So: Happy list killing! :D
Happy I will admit I think your the only person on BLAEO I recognize cause of the consistency and frequency of these comments killing >_<
Aaaaaaaw, that’s cute. Thank you! Happy to hear it! :*
Happy backlog killing! :D
I’d say that playing the games in alphabetical order is a good plan :)
Time limits are no fun, though, so I wouldn’t impose any “rules” on myself if I were you. You’ll want to avoid the situation where playing some of those games feels like a chore ;)
its probably for the best that I play them in order as well cause I’m already hit by indecisiveness whenever I go to play anything spending more time trying to pick what to play than actually playing…
If I limit it that way I’ll be able to look at one game at a time so thanks >_<
Really nice plan idea, good luck with it you have some great games in it! I just played Lumino City this month and really thought it was lovely, I hope you like it too.
That… is actually a really cool idea!
I hate time limits, myself, so I wouldn’t impose one for this. I think a good challenge would be to play them in alphabetical order like you’re doing now, and, like always, I say play it until you don’t feel like playing it anymore. As long as you gave it a fair shot, it should ‘count’ as a play attempt without guilt.
I wish you the best of luck with your new plan of attack! You got some good titles on here, a healthy mix of different genres, and I’m excited to see your opinion on some of these (like Umineko! Jesus god Umineko is a RIDE)
>_< thanku
yeah its probably for the best that I don’t have a time limit- I have work all this summer and then school will start in september and I’ll have to deal with that…I don’t really have the time to put 10+ hrs into games a day.
Umiko Is bestu I’ve already read part of the manga for it actually. I put off watching the anime cause I heard the VN was better and it certainly doesn’t disappoint so far.
the manga was really really confusing because of how fast the pace was but this is nice. (also once you patch the game to how it looks in the psp it looks sooooo nice)
like look at this its amazing lookie
I kinda started it but I felt safe putting it on this list cause its a huge game and I’m only done 1 of 5 chapters (plus I didn’t have many “U”’s to pick from
Yeah, and it’s a bunch of unnecessary stress. Like, some days I WANT to play games a ton, but sometimes I can get caught up in a good book or just want to chill or something. Time limits like that would make it be a chore. Life happens, and games work best when you game when u want.
YES god it’s crazytown in the best way. I read the VNs a few years ago and it took me sooo long. I patched them to look like the PS3/PSP versions, too, I’m glad there’s a steam PC patch for it. I think it absolutely counts, it’s enormous. You still have many, many more hours left on Rokkenjima. Can’t wait to hear what you think when you’re done!
