Another one for the monthly! This game is very nostalgic, for even though I didn’t play it when it first came out, it reminds me (graphics wise at least) of a lot of games I’d play when I was younger.
Onto the actual gameplay, though. It’s a very typical match-3, in which matching the pieces helps you to build the 7 wonders. You must remove all the blocks that cover spaces, and bring the keystones to the bottom. As far as match-3s go, this one is pretty easy. I like that it’s based on time and not moves, so I could just do a lot in quick succession rather than plan them out. It has much simpler mechanics than most match-3s today, and was mostly very easy - I only died once.
Overall it’s a good game if you want some nostalgia and enjoy match-3s, but there really wasn’t anything too special about it. I don’t plan on playing the next one any time soon, but I wouldn’t say no to playing it either.
What match3s would you recommend to someone new to the genre?
This one was pretty good for starting, especially as I find a lot of Match 3’s to throw in too many gimmicks but this one qas straight forward. Plus, it’s in the Dollar Jumble Bundle on bundlestars right now along with a lot of other puzzle games!
Hell girls was another fun one - it’s sort of considered the “poor man’a Huniepop”
