Second week of September progress
I actually got some stuff done this week \o/. It might not seem all that much as it mostly consisted of spending a LOT of time in a game that I am nowhere near being done and won’t be any time soon unless someone decides to shower me with DLC for it for Christmas again or they get 75% off. I am hoping to finish the remaining DLC I have by the end of the month, but it will likely take longer.
Challenges
Finished SG wins
The Last Hope - There are two things a walking simulator needs to have to be enjoyable- a good story and good graphic. This one has neither. The story makes no sense at all and it looks like shit. Oh it is also buggy and shit and it runs like shit in some parts even tho I pass the recommend system requirements by country mile. I played some bad bad games in my life, but this one takes the cake. It seriously made me reconsider my life choices while playing it, no kidding. So if you are reading this and own this game, please, for the love of everything that is holy, put it on the “won’t play” list, trust me on this one.
HunieCam Studio - Lets ignore what this game is about (running a camgirl business) and focus on the game-play, shall we. It is a very simple management game that leaves you wishing that you had more control over how things are done. All you can do is to place your “workers” into different places so they do different things, buy an upgrade every once in a while and buy more “workers”. I really wish it had a speed-up settings because sitting around doing nothing but pressing the left mouse button to speed things up gets boring really quick. That said I will go back sometime in the near future to 100% the game.
Other finished games
Rage Parking Simulator 2016 - I am bad at parking IRL and I am bad at parking it this game. I like the idea behind this game, but I do not like the execution of it. The controls are really badly done and the detection if you parked correctly in the parking spot is so broken it is not even funny.
Defy Gravity - For 99 cents it is a really competent game. There is 2x24 (+ the credits are a level as well which quite surprised me, I am sure it has been done before, but I never came across it) levels and they are a mixed bag - some are too easy, some quite challenging. The only 2 things I was missing are a checkpoint indicator and a godamn mute button. What is with all the games that you have to go to your OS sound settings to change volume -.-
Skyborn - This one just wasn’t my cup of tea. Nothing particularly wrong with it, just not a game for me. I would just like to point out that if you have multiple monitors it is gonna screw with all of your other window positions when launching it and switching from fullscreen to windowed in the main menu made my game crash, but switching it once already in game worked just fine.
You got me totally infected with puzzling again! Which is no bad thing, since I kinda try getting back to enjoying games for the fun of the game and not the completion. So endless things like puzzling and sims are what I do atm mostly :D
Just got myself the HunieCam. I decided to give up on hoping I might win it and since it’s only a dollar and some keys I have to find a use for…. :]
Have a great week :)
Happy puzzle killing :)
Puzzles > HOGs > everything else :D
I am glad you are enjoying them and I hope you will have fun with HunieCam too ^^
You too! :)
Is it puzzles as in a whole bunch of types of puzzles or are they just jigsaw’s?
Other than that nice progress!
I can’t bring myself to enjoy most management games but I still find myself sucked into and addicted to them once in awhile.
Especially real time ones where you find yourself having to check back every __ to fix everything.
Just jigsaws, but I have kind of a thing for jigsaw puzzles so that’s fine by me.
Thank you!
I liked most of the ones I played so far, but I tend to have an unhealthy relationship with them as I usually binge play them for a few days, leave them alone for months and then binge play them again and so on.
Skyborn was my first SG win and definitely one that I regret! I finished it for a challenge this month and I agree that it’s fine for what it is, but yeah not my kind of game either. Well done on all your progress! I’m guessing you like jigsaws :)
Thank you! How could you possibly guess that? :P
I’d like to say that I’m continuing doing the puzzle games thanks to you, and I am also considering doing a 5k pieces puzzle I have irl but I’m wondering where I could build it…
Do it! Not sure how big the puzzle is, but maybe try to find a bigger box and use the carton from it as the base? I wish I could do some IRL ones too, but got no where to hang them up anymore :/
You’ve made a superb progress :D Now after playing 4/5 games, you see how evil i am :D Picked some really bad games for you :D At least you’re done and you don’t need to ever play them again :D Though you can relief for a bit, as Lovely Planet is definitely the best of the bunch :D Hopefully you will enjoy it :D
I mean, except The Last Hope (fuck this “game” any everything it stands for) I did not hate any of them so it could be worse :P Yea I left it for last on purpose, good start working on it either today after I am done making my choo-choo on SG or tomorrow ^^
