Update One Hundred and Forty-Three: 21 March 2018
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
I think that was the shortest hidden object game I’ve ever played.
Inbetween Land came out in 2012 - which, holy shit, how was that six whole years ago?? - but it feels more dated than that. Its 3D renders look like something from the early 2000s, but I mean that in a very nostalgic, special way. The setting - that of the eponymous Inbetween Land, a floating island that appeared over a city - is one step removed from fantasy y2k and I appreciate it a lot.
This game has a comic book style rather than a painterly style, and it works pretty well for it. Beyond that, it’s a bog average hidden object game. To me, that’s a good thing. A quick 100%, and a nice way to spend another very snowy day.
All of my dog walking services were cancelled today. If the snow keeps up, they might be cancelled tomorrow, too. Yesterday was my first day completely alone, which I commemorated by promptly getting very lost while I walked two lovely dogs through a halestorm. I only meant to circle the block… and somehow walked two miles. Not my proudest moment, but the dogs were so well behaved and didn’t seem to hold it against me.

See you soon!
OMFG! THERE’S A “Like us on Facebook” ACHIEVEMENT! I’m seriously tempted to remove the game from my account. We’ll see.
I mean, I have a FB account, even if I don’t use it much…but I do NOT like the idea of devs farming Likes via Steam achievements. I don’t want that practice to spread like a disease.
Yeah, that was super eye-rolly, but literally you just click a button in-game, and it gives you the achievement. Then it starts to take you to facebook in steam’s browser… and I just shut the browser.
It was very ://// tho
Oh okay…that’s not so bad I guess. You don’t have to follow through.
Yeah, so it just ends up being pathetic. Can I chalk it up to 2012 being a different time?
