Update One Hundred and Twenty-Nine: 25 February 2018

Man, three in a row of so-close-to-good-and-yet VNs!

This game is made up of two prequels (or, rather, a prequel-prequel and a prequel) to a VN that’s still currently being made, which is a little weird. They’re both very short, but the writing is lively and natural and the production value is stupid high for a VN. The first prequel is very nice (it’s wlw, u guys, what do you expect me to say) but the second one is too ‘generic sexy teenagers shounen manga’ to be worth much of anything.

It’s so aggravating, and it’s not even equal opportunity sexy - of course, the two girls’ DD boobs on their XS bodies are lovingly rendered, and then we got the one other guy over here lookin like a Ken doll. Do I want to be oggling teenagers? No, my friends, I don’t, but my god, let this be anatomically correct, at least.

Even so, there’s enough here that while I won’t quite recommend these prequels, I’m willing to take a look at the full game when it’s released.

Man, after those middling games I want something that’s full, robust, that’s crazy good. I want something that I miss. (I hope it doesn’t take me seven months to read through this this time)
