August 2019
August was a good month in terms of gaming even though I’ve spent 10+ days on vacation. I’ve beaten 2 games during those 10+ days: RiME and Love is Dead. I was also hoping to beat Hollow Knight, but even without it, I’m happy with my progress.
I have no idea which games I’ll be playing next month, but since college will be starting I won’t get much time for games probably. I’ll still try to beat at least 1 game a month, but not sure if I can actually do it. This semester (and year in general) is going to be hard and tiring, so I’m not sure if I’ll be thinking of games. We’ll see I guess.

I've already posted individual posts on the games I've beaten this month, so I'm not going to say anything more about them. I'm adding the links to the posts for anyone who's curious about my thoughts.
I haven't dropped any games this month.
This month, I finally caved in and bought My Time at Portia from GMG. Could be one of the best decisions I made in August, lol.
Guns of Icarus Alliance is from LootBoy. I wasn't sure if the key will work, so I added it to my Steam library, but I have no intentions of playing that game, so I don't count it as a part of my backlog.
I won A Hat in Time & Wandersong from Reddit GAs. Both are games I'm really excited for. I was actually going to buy Wandersong from Steam's summer sale but I couldn't because I had already bought so many games.
Glass Masquerade is Kiseli's gift to me. Thank you so much! I'm really looking forward to playing it.

I played another 14 hours of Hollow Knight in August, got stuck and had to stop. Well, not exactly "had to", but I got so frustrated at my lack of progress that I thought it's best if I take a break from the game. I'll go back to playing it in a while but I'm not sure when.
And even though I bought it this month, I'm already 34 hours in to My Time at Portia. I would've played it even more if I hadn't went on vacation, but I probably shouldn't play it non-stop and get tired of the game so early on. I'm looking forward to getting another 30 hours soon though.

Love the new way you set this month’s progress report!
Some pretty good items added to your backlog as well.
Thanks! I also like this way better than the old version I’ve tried. Neat and short looking :P
And yeah, I’m really excited especially for Wandersong! (I’ve already started Portia, so it doesn’t count lol)
Haha how are you liking Portia?
I love it! I haven’t had time to play it on vacation, because when I start, I usually take at least 3 hours to stop playing. So I’m just playing small-ish games. But I really want to continue playing it! :D
That’s good! I needed a bit of a break once I hit 60 hours in, but I’ll probably play it again soon!
I can relate to that! I don’t understand why, but a couple long hours of the game can also make me very tired. This never used to happen with Stardew Valley or Slime Rancher :P Maybe it’s because there are so many things to do?
Maybe? Can also depend on what your currently doing outside gaming as well. I find it harder to concentrate on longer games working full time, unless it’s piece meal.
That also makes sense, but I’m on summer vacation still. So I’m not doing anything much, I shouldn’t be tired :P
