2017
24th week
In the 24th week of 2017 I finished these three Steamgift Wins
SOMA
The setting is really cool, reminds me a bit of "Bioshock" because of the underwater world, a game that I unfortunately don't own.
And to "Alien: Isolation", because of the sluice doors and the "creepy monsters". =)
From the interaction possibilities, it reminds me of the YouTube videos, which I have seen about "Prey (2017)".
Lift up and throw away any object. ^^
I've flinched a few times, but on the whole it was not soooo creepy for me. ;)
The game essentially deals with the philosophical question:
Where in a technically advanced future the boundary between machine and human life runs.
Overlord
Overlord is a nice little hack and slash game in which you can spend a lot of time.
The individual areas are large and without a map or waypoints to find a certain place, lasted with me quite long. ^^
In addition, I had so my problems with the recall of the minions, because my mouse did not want to carry out any further actions from time to time.
Queen's Quest 2: Stories of Forgotten Past
I found this game somehow pretty short.
And you have to constantly prepare some potions, that has me annoyed. :/
The story is quite nice.
Thanks for the update, Wilidstar! =)
Ooh…SOMA…it’s in my itching to play list…really looking forward to it.
I just got Queen’s Quest 2 the other day…will need to play the first, though. Welcome to the monthly theme!
Your thoughts on Overlord are similar mine. It was pretty fun and played well…good humor, but ultimately it just wasn’t for me. I eventually abandoned it after 21 hours– except that I wasn’t anywhere near finishing. I probably wouldn’t have lasted that long except that it was an SG win. I just had so many problems getting the minions to do what I thought I was asking them to do…and they’d invariably die horrible deaths by seemingly doing the stupidest things. And I hated losing minions. Sad thing is I also won Overlord II around the same time. I’m much more careful with my entries now.
Wilidstar? :o
Ahhh …. you have five games there, which I would immediately play! <.<
And The Talos Principle is a great puzzle and story game!
I’ve also won Overlord II and have not played yet. ^^
I also join only giveaways which I really want and which I think I’ll find them good. =)
Oh no– sorry about the typo, Wildstorm! *blush*
Five games in the itching list or the abandoned list?
And yeah– for a while there, I was waiting to get the Talos DLC, but now that I have it, I still haven’t played it yet.
Limited gaming time. =(
A big typo.
Five games in your itching to play list.
But I see that you have already played one of them elsewhere
Mhmm … this is bad.
I haven’t played any of the games on my itching to play list. There are some, though, that I would play elsewhere, meaning a GOG or other DRM-free version. What is bad, lol?
Only now I see that you have “The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Redux” in your itching to play list
and “The Vanishing of Ethan Carter” in your have played elsewhere list.
Your “Limited gaming time. =(“ is bad - for your games. ;P

Not toooooo creepy? Yeah, that sounds like it will creep me out :D
About Queens Quest 2. Since it’s a HOG it counts for the monthly theme. Would you like to apear on my wrap up list? In that case you might post your finished HOG(s) here. Thank you ;) :)
Have a great week!
Happy backlog killing :)
^^
You must play Alien: Isolation - Damn creepy as hell! ;D
I have posted. ^^
Thanks, have a great week, too! =))
Nononononono! I refuse :D
Thank you very much :)
Will do my very best ;)
