I like my games how I like my girls: short and easy (and free) There was a Lenny here but new font puts eyebrows across eyes and I've removed him

Did anyone use this opening before? ‘cause I’m getting this feeling I’ve read it somewhere before..
Hope that made you smile, because this game won’t. Its story is damn serious.

I think I read about this game in a recent article, that’s why I was sure it was a new title, while now that I look at the store it says “released 2014”

Anyway, I installed and played as everyone was talking good about this game.
I’ll tell you straight: there’s not much in it.

I have 0.8 hours only because I had to restart a couple of time -_-
ALT+TABbing caused the game to not capture mouse clicks anymore. I could still move with arrows (even if it was a pain, very clumsy) but I couldn’t find the key to interact, so I couldn’t move on. Even after re-launching the game mouse didn’t work. Only way was to fix it was to start a new game.
Luckily, as said, game is rather short. If you skip the dialogues I’d say you could finish it in about 5 minutes. Insead, it will take you about half an hour, because you’ll try to understand what’s going on.
But you won’t. Or, at least, I couldn’t.
Story is vague (guess on purpose) and makes you wonder about things but it lasts too little for such themes.
Style is particular.. kind of remind me of those ballpoint-pen doodles I used to do on my notebook when in school.
Can’t say much about sound ‘cause I played with volume turned off (pc volume, game doesn’t have options) but soundtrack comes as a free DLC, which is always good :)

tl;dr

Game addresses important themes and it hits. Too short to be rated as good given its arguments.
It left a good impression and it will be remembered. Don't know how long though.
5/10

This is my second game beaten this month, neither was part of the theme. D’OH! >_<
I’ve started Chroma Squad and I’m confident I’ll beat it (not 100%) before the end of the month.
Initial plan was to finally beat Batman: Arkham City (which I started time ago) and Psychonauts (never started) but I think they’ll have to wait again.
Started also Zack Zero thinking it would have been an easy 100% but I was wrong. Don’t even know if I’ll get to beat it by the 30.
I also turned suddenly crazy and got Cook, Serve, Delicious! from TremorGames ‘cause I wanted to try it, thinking it was a short-sessions game. Tried a bit and it appeared a lot more complex than how I first imagined. Doesn’t look bad though, a possible timesink D:

Hey, that’s almost cheating! =P

Ghostie

You could try manually changing the font. Maybe. :v

malabagaa

And that’s a good alternative I didn’t think of..
Thanks, I’ll try to remember it next time :)

Clark

I have Cook, Serve, Delicious too! It was definitely way more than I thought I was signing up for.
Like, way more.

It’s been a month and I’m only one achievement in.

malabagaa

:O That’s a lot more than I thought..
Guess I’ll have to find another “easy” game =P

Clark

To be fair, I haven’t played it that much! But I do have a few hours in it, the achievements didn’t really drop as often as I’d like it to.
AStats estimates the average time to 100% to be 36 hours.. good luck to both of us :P

malabagaa

13 days have passed in the game and I’m getting the hang of it :) even unlocked my first achievement for a perfect day, and the first star doesn’t seem too far =P
but I can see some require grinding to unlock :\
yup, good luck! ;)
