May report

I am super late, but my excuse is that I am unable to use my PC right now which has my post generator setup and I was too lazy till now to set it up on my laptop instead (it takes about 15 seconds, but I am lazy ok, leave me alone).

Completed SG wins

The Deed: Dynasty
Playtime: 5.3 hours
Achievements: 53 of 53 (100%)
Review: A decent RPG maker game with 3 different stories where your goal is not murder a specific person and get away with it by pinning the murder on someone else. In each story you have multiple weapons, evidence and people you can pin the murder to. It is decent fun however does get a bit repetitive hunting down every scenario. Game works without any issues on Linux with Proton (9.0).
Twizzle Puzzle: Predators
Playtime: 2.1 hours
Achievements: 100 of 100 (100%)
Review: A puzzle game with 50 levels where you just rotate the pieces around till they are facing the correct direction. The images are not great as they have some weird filter on them (or are AI generated with some weird artstyle, who knows) which makes it a lot worse than if they were just normal animal pictures. Works without any problems on Linux with Proton (9.0).
Who Let the Frog Out
Playtime: 12 minutes
Achievements: No achievements
Review: A bad, boring runner game which loves to randomly glitch out when moving left or right. Stay away. Works without any issues on Linux with Proton (9.0).
A Short Hike
Playtime: 5.7 hours
Achievements: 12 of 12 (100%)
Review: Cute exploration game about reaching the top of the mountain on the island you are on. There is a couple of things letting it down: it is pretty short; I wish there was maybe a few more quests, minigames or something else new to do; The keyboard controls are terrible, especially when it comes to controlling the boat. However that said it was still a generally pleasant experience playing it, it just could be better a lot better. Linux version of the game works fine.
Broken Sword 1 - Shadow of the Templars: Director's Cut
Playtime: 4.9 hours
Achievements: No achievements
Review: While you can definitely tell that the game is a bit older it is still a very good point and click game. Only real complaint I have about it is that the audio quality for the English voice lines was a bit mixed. Sometimes it would be good quality, sometimes bad and it would switch around a bit. Linux version of the game works without any issues.
WORLD END ECONOMiCA episode.01
Playtime: 16.4 hours
Achievements: No achievements
Review:A decent enough visual novel. There are some issues with it: it sometimes feels slow; some stuff just doesn't make any sense/there are some mistakes in the text; the main character is not a very likable guy; could use a bigger variety of images. But overall the story did keep me interested till the end. Linux version of the game works fine except for missing text on the confirm/cancel buttons when selecting things.
Slap The Fly
Playtime: 16 minutes
Achievements: No achievements
Review: A dead and bad multiplayer game of humans vs animals (4 different animals you can pick between: fly, bee, spider, mouse). There is also a single player "training mode" but its really buggy when it registers "slaps" and its not not fun at all. Works without any issues on Linux with Proton (9.0-1).

Review: A pretty bad hidden object game with some levels that legit made me wonder if this was a joke, but some of them were okish and playable at least.
She Sees Red
Playtime: 4.3 hours
Achievements: 15 of 15 (100%)
Review: A decent FMV game. The good: it is really well made and has an interesting enough story. The bad: I could tell what the twist in the story was from the very beginning and it felt a bit slow at some points. The neutral: its quite short, about 40ish minutes for a playthrough. Playing it on Linux with Proton (9.0) I came across a couple of issues: videos wouldn't play unless I pauses and unpaused the game and I had to do that at the beginning of each clip and I couldn't skip viewed scenes at all, nothing would happen when I selected it. Other than that it ran ok.
Super Sports Surgery
Playtime: 1.1 hours
Achievements: No achievements
Review: A decent game where you have to perform surgery on your patients with weird injuries and you fix them in silly ways.. There is 9 levels in total to play. The game works ok on Linux with Proton (9.0-1), however it does start lagging after about half an hour. Simple restart fixes the issue and with the game being about an hour long to complete is not too big of a problem.
Stranded In Time
Playtime: 4.1 hours
Achievements: No achievements
Review: A non particularly great point and click game. The inventory UI is pretty bad as you won't be able to reverse out of a scene with it open and it sometimes won't tell you what is the item you got it in. Linux version of the game insists on starting on the wrong (leftmost instead of main) monitor and it can get really laggy for no reason. There is way better games out there to play instead.

Thank you for the report, Mouse. Nice progress.

Oh wow…Stranded In Time…that was one of the first point-and-click games I played with my kids…they were probably 4, maybe 5?
I couldn’t help but grin that one of the things letting down A Short Hike is that it’s pretty short. :D
I completed The Deed in 2020, and have The Deed II in my backlog. Never did pick up The Deed: Dynasty, though.
She Sees Red is also in my backlog (along with a bunch of other FMV games). Looks good.
4.9 hours for Broken Sword? I think the dialog, animation, and cutscenes in the game account for at least 4 of those hours!

Thanks and thank you for your time checking it out and writing a reply! :)

For Short Hike I just think they could have added more to it and there is more potential for it to be even better. But I somehow didn’t even notice the irony of what I was writing when I did :D

I played the original Deed too and remember quite liking it, I thought I had the 2nd one as well, but nope. Maybe one day I get my hands on that one too.

I won She Sees Red from Icaio and I remember him really hating on the game, but honestly I don’t understand it, I quite enjoyed my time with it except for the issues I had with videos not playing correctly, but thats not the games itself fault since it was not made for Linux so I can’t even blame it.

As for Broken Sword, it is a combination of skipping some stuff and using a guide for it. I will do that sometimes with some point and clicks (really depends on the game and how I feel like it, didn’t do it for Stranded in Time for example).
