Report #75
I did not manage to reach my goals for 2024 so I set myself the same goals for this year: Get my backlog (never played + unfinished + beaten) down to 170 games – which is still way too many games! And complete 80% of my newly added games in 2025.
So far I’ve not really made a lot of progress with my backlog but completing my newly added games is going quite well.

If you are interested in my opinion on any of the games, please feel free to ask. My favourites from this batch would be Half-Life 2 and to my surprise PGA Tour 2k21 – wouldn’t have thought I enjoy playing golf so much… Foxen Island seems to have a broken achievement and was therefore my least favourite game.
Happy backlog clearing,
Vito

Thank you for the report!
What did you think of the Broken Sword games? Obviously your star ratings were so-so (3/5, 3/5, 2/5). I’ve only played the first two. And my playtimes were MUCH longer at 15.4 and 12.5 hours! I do tend to take my time, but I also much suck at P&C.~ Those are the only games above that I’ve played.
Thanks for the comment! P&C is really not my favourite genre, so that is the main reason those games do not rank higher in my rating. I think they are witty and humorous, but at times the puzzles went way over my head. I often used a guide when I got stuck, that’s the reason for my lower playtimes. The third part was really testing my patience with its weird controls, switching between scenes and camera movement. I don’t really want to blame the devs too much however, I think that is the case for a lot of 3D games released around that time. I guess it was a phase of figuering out, what works well and what doesn’t. Or maybe I’m just not used to P&C enough :D
Thanks for the reply. Yeah, P&C definitely went through an “awkward stage” when publishers wanted devs to use nascent 3D technology, and the result was often janky. I haven’t played #3 yet, but I’m sure it will feel clunky.
