“Where are we off to this time Doc?”

Well, I finally ground out the last episode of Back to the Future:The Game.I found a lot of it to be a slog, but then, I don’t enjoy PnC “puzzle” games that much in the first place.I used to love the Lucasarts games, but perhaps that has as much to do with the lack of other PC games at the time as anything else. Now the market’s saturated with so many titles from genres I enjoy more that it’s rare I find myself delving into one of these games, especially ones with poor ui and controls. That said, this had a reasonably fun story backed by excellent voice acting from Christopher Lloyd himself and the actor who played Marty McFly. Episode 5 even featured a heartwarming cameo from Mr.Michael J. Fox himself as yet another McFly ancestor.

As the credits rolled with that cheesy Huey Lewis song from the original movie, I realized that if the final screen shown actually came true, I’d play the sequel despite by comments(largely because by now Telltale really knows what they’re doing and it would be a much different game).Great Scott!

Otherwise, I’ve been playing Defense Grid:The Awakening, some Tabletop Simulator with friends, and entirely too much Star Trek Online.

Hey, nice completion! I really enjoyed it even though I agree that Telltale games are more “smooth and polished” now since the walking dead series, but I still had a fun time playing this one. (Loved the cameo)

Thanks!Yeah the cameo was sweet, especially given Mr.Fox’s current health problems. He’s still kickin’ arse though, so it seems:).
I think it would be great if they made another season of this with the quality we have come to expect from them today.

EvilBlackSheep

Yeah, when I finished playing the last episode, I wonder if they had planned another season and then abandoned the project because of the “To Be Continued”.

entirely too much Star Trek Online

This seems like it’s still an understatement given the amount of screenshots you post for this game alone… :)

Heh, I couldn’t NOT post screenshots of the original TOS crew, even if it’s just a gimmick to get more people to play STO. I grew up with the crew of ST:The Next Generation but I pretty quickly “assimilated” all the original episodes and movies as soon as I was able to get a vhs or was lucky enough to find them on syndication. So many of them have left us with just their wonderful acting and heartwarming interviews, so I consider it something of an obligation to remind people just how important those original actors and characters were.Especially in an age when so many ignorant children only know the JJ-Trek movies which are a pale shadow of the greatness of Roddenberry’s original vision. Even Star Trek:The Motion Picture and ST:The Final Frontier are better films than the new shit. Apparently Beyond “actually feels like a Star Trek film” because it was written by Simon Pegg, a lifelong Trekker/ie. I may get around to watching it eventually, but it took me 2 yrs and I had to be plied with booze to watch the first nu-trek, and I’ve only seen bits and pieces of Into Darkness which was enough for me. Sorry Sherlockians, but Cumberbatch ain’t the greatest actor in the world and he certainly isn’t good enough to fill Ricardo Montalban’s KAAAAAAAAAAHN!-sized shoes.

/end rant:P

Ghostie

Uh huh… I see. :)

I’ve not seen any of the new films but I also haven’t really seen much of Star Trek at all and what I have seen I was too young to remember.
