Well, it’s been a minute since my last post. Since then, I’ve finished a few games.
Bottle: Pilgrim: I enjoyed this walking simulator until about the last five minutes, which really kind of pissed me off. Not because of its quality, but rather because of how dismissive it was at the end. IMO. That said, if you’ve enjoyed Tonguc’s previous games, you will undoubtedly enjoy this one as well. Review
The following two are quirky, quick blast 5 minute free games from the same publisher (and possibly developer, although I don’t exactly remember right now). Definitely worth checking out.
A Raven Monologue: Review
Banyu Lintar Angin - Little Storm - : Review
All That Remains: Not really a good game, but it does have some nice aspects to it, and I liked it despite giving it a 4/10 Review
The following two I haven’t written reviews for yet, but I will post again when I do.
VOID: VOID is a pretty good VN featuring a trio of assassins working against an international and secret, powerful organization. It does feature some romance options, but they are weaved into the greater story pretty seamlessly. So far I’ve finished two of the five story arcs. I’ll likely wrap up the others here soon. There is a bit of laziness involved with this games development though. Most notably the fact that not every conversation features the characters on screen, and this leads to some lengthy conversations where you are just staring at a living room or some such lol. Still, despite that fact, I’ve enjoyed this one. So far, this feels like about a 7.5/10. We shall see where it goes from there after I wrap up the other story arcs.
Pyre: Pretty fantastic. The music was on point as you would expect from SuperGiant, as was the narration. The graphics were lush and beautiful, the story compelling, and the gameplay was fun, with a more sports arena style combat system. I quite enjoyed this one. However, it is worth noting that I was playing offline for the first half or so of this game, and the cheevos for that period did not drop as they should have. Minor complaint though. The game itself was one of the best I’ve played. Without doing a complete category breakdown, my instinct would be to give it a 9.5/10
I’m also almost finished with Crossing Souls, which is a fusion of a lot of genres packaged around a Saturday Morning Cartoon/Kids Adventure Film motif, ala Scooby-Doo, Goonies, E.T., etc…fun story, mostly fun gameplay, and just a nice game in general.
I just started Chronicle of Innsmouth, so I imagine that will be next on my list. I also tried and retired Fantasyland. It’s a complete waste of time really.

Pyre (Steam)
Yeeeeeaaaah! Who was your favorite in Pyre? Did you exalt yourself at the end, or stay below?
I liked Hedwyn and “Shae” (rhymes with gray. :)) the best, but I really though all the characters were really well thought out, fun, and approachable. Even some of the enemies, like the demon who had a thing for Jodi. As far as how I ended, I initially chose Pamitha, but she obviously turned it around and gave it back to me, after which I ended up letting Oralech reclaim what had been lost to him before. At the end, it was just Pamitha, Sandalwood, Bertrude, and I left.
Both free games look interesting. I’m downloading them. Thanks for the suggestion/review. I’m fairly interested in Crossing Souls, so I’m looking forward to your review! :)
No problem. Yeah. I might finish Crossing Souls tonight. If not, it will likely be Thursday. Soon either way though.
