Title: AdVenture Capitalist Developer: Hyper Hippo Games Publisher: Hyper Hippo Games Release date: 2015-03-30 Regular price: Free Achievements: Yes Cards: Yes
YESS! Finally!
After a bit more than 200 hours, I have unlocked all achievements in AdVenture Capitalist!
It was unexpected ‘cause I was missing two achievements and I thought they would unlock toward the end; instead, the Unlock the 626th Achievement on Earth popped-up today :O
Don’t know why I was sure that they updated it after re-modeled the game to unlock after owning all the earth’s unlocks (635 if I recall correctly) but forgot to update the description. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
As soon as I saw it my eyes widened and I started to feel excited at the thought of finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel =P
Checked which was the other achievement left and it was Purchase the “Forever And Ever” Earth upgrade - Many Angels died to bring us this acceleration… which was still out of my reach following the game advices (to use max 1% of your total angels). I played so much that I was subjugated by those “rules” and I was going to keep playing at first. But then I realized that I already had sufficient angels to unlock it and so, at the modest price of 43% of my angels, now I’m free. I’m free. Quick. Quick. Wish for something outrageous. Say, “I, I want the Nile.” Wish for the Nile. Try that!
AdVenture Capitalist is a F2P clicker game that I started after the 2015 Steam monster summer event *click* *click* *click* without knowing in what I was getting into.
Yes the game is nice and it’s surely addictive but it’s way too long! There have been lot of complains about it and recently devs added different bonuses and multipliers that you can get with money (obviously) or by playing the game (daily login, events.. you know, usual stuff) which can be used to shorten your gameplay :)
They expanded the game and added new achievements twice before (that I’m aware of) but given that they now have a new game on Early Access called AdVenture Communist I feel pretty safe in saying that they won’t add more in the future. Fingers crossed!
Not much left to say.. if you like long clicker game, play this! I liked it for the most of my playtime. Towards the end it kind of felt like a chore and I admit I put it aside for a couple of months but it’s also true that by that time you won’t need to do much so each session can be rather short :)
So, game’s not bad and you can spend some good time with it but good look if you want to 100% it =P
Title: Frederic: Resurrection of Music Developer: Forever Entertainment S. A. Publisher: Forever Entertainment S. A. Release date: 2014-05-16 Regular price: 2,99 € Bundled: Yes Achievements: Yes Cards: Yes
cards idling: 2.5 h
Last week I also reached the end of Frederic: Resurrection of Music on easy
Didn’t post anything ‘cause that level of difficulty doesn’t have an achievement for beating the game so I wanted to beat it at least on normal difficulty.
Well, I’m stuck at the second-to-last level and I don’t think I’ll reach the end anytime soon, mostly because I struggle with the key mapping and at the same time I haven’t found any alternative configuration that works for me.
Beaten the easy ones with the mouse but I had to re-do the last levels. On normal, this approach wasn’t comfortable anymore so I switched to keyboard. (tried even mouse+keyboard with no success)
In case you’re interested, the game is like Frets on Fire (a Guitar Hero for PC/keyboard) or many other dance/rhythm games out there, but with a piano instead.
It’s more difficult than the relatives because you have to play 7 keys instead of 4-5. And with my propension to press wrong keys on this stupid flat keyboard it’s not the best of things.
Story is quite short, composed of only 10 levels. Of course, if you’re gonna play at higher difficulties, it’s gonna take you some time to complete. Or not, I don’t know, As you can see, I did not play it much.. perhaps with a couple of hours more I may be able to beat it (normal).
On the other hand, if you’ve already beaten this then, please, tell me your secret(s)!!
I’m marking this as beaten (‘cause I’ve reached the end) but I’m leaving it in the Unfinished
category (‘cause I’ve got no achievement as proof) hoping to beat it one day.
Oh, and it’s also another steamgifts win down
Last thing I wanted to “brag” about was the unlock of my 2000th achievement but it happened days ago and now it doesn’t make much sense anymore.
Anyway, here it is: It’s called Big Change and it’s from Catch a Falling Star.
203h to complete a game truly requires a lot of patience! Congratz on finishing the game and good luck on your next one!
Thanks ^_^
It helps that the game progresses even if you don’t play ;)
Also, being a clicker game, you won’t have any problem at remembering what were you doing or at get used to commands again =P
Oh no, why did you mention AdVenture Communist XD
Congrats though
D: don’t know why but sorry!
is it bad?
Thanks ^_^
Congrats on Adventure Capitalist :D I couldn’t do it myself :p Enjoy your freedom :D
Thanks ^_^
To tell you the truth, I almost stopped playing it twice because I felt I wasn’t doing any progress =P
As said in OP I didn’t touch it for couple of months, almost forgot about it, then one day “Hey, guess I may have collected sufficient angels by now” and went to check.. and we know how it ended =P
You and I stopped at about the same point in Frederic. Although it appears I never got Master of the Notes (“Hit 50 at least excellent notes”). That should be possible if I dig up the game again. But yeah…I was able to use the keyboard to a certain degree but just couldn’t quite get it to the level I needed to progress through the end of Normal.
BTW, I think you can mark it Beaten since you completed the main story, but just didn’t get all achievements. That’s pretty much the definition of Beaten– in any event, that’s how I characterized it. Thanks for the update!
That’s not difficult to achieve, just focus on them, doesn’t matter if you love the level :)
I know.. let’s say this is a special case since it’s a sg win :) more like a reminder to give it a second try… if I won’t be able to beat it I’ll just move it to beaten.
Congrats on the big completion! The long playtime indicates that this isn’t a simple game to complete. I’ve never played any clicker games myself, although I do remember the 2015 summer sale thing. I didn’t really understand the concept at the time, it seemed to do its own thing in the background. But I think the ‘idling’ is part of how clicker games work? :)
2000th achievement is also a great milestone, congratulations!
Thanks ^_^
I did played some before (outside of Steam) so I know what I was getting into! (I had kind of “forced” myself to not play clicker games anymore but then, that summer sale’s game was nice and I thought: «well, it won’t hurt to play another one») :P
Yup, without automation it would be a pain to play clicker games! lot of mice and fingers broken =P
Yay, congrats on completing AdCap! (I knew it wouldn’t take you long). So run, be free and hope that they don’t add more achievements :D
Thanks ^_^
I thought it would have taken a bit longer (and if I had intention to continue playing, sacrificing almost half my angels would have not been a good move) but I’m glad it’s finished :D
Oh, no! let’s hope they won’t! D:
Sooo, will you be playing Adventure Communist? :P
NOPE! :P
Not for the moment, at least.
They added achievements to a “completed” game, don’t want to imagine what they can do with an E.A. title =P
Also, I’ll try to spend the next 200h on other games rather than free ones =P
Yup I agree, we’ve spent way too long on those games. It’s time to give our other games our attention! :D
