Third week of January progress
I have been mostly just working on ETS2 and PPU this week. I am soooooo close to 100% ETS2, but I am getting sooooooo bored of (and also getting motion sickness from it in the last 2 days o.o) it because the last achievement is grindy AF and I have played about 70 hours of it this month so far. Yes I might be a little bit crazy, but I shall blame it on the 3 awesome people that gifted me 3 awesome DLCs for it <3 I am really hopping to have it completed next week so I can go back on bindging on HOG games.
Finished game
We Were Here - I wasn’t planing on playing this, but a friend of mine found it and asked me to play with him. It is one of those coop games where one person needs to give instructions to the other one. It is quite short - 6 puzzles to solve in total, 3 being very easy, 2 easy, one medium-ish and there was a LOT of yelling at each other for the last one :D Overall the game was OK but quite buggy (I feel through the world twice and couldn’t open a hatch once), but it is a free game so I am not going to complain too much about that.
Completed SG win
Legend of the Skyfish - Very simple and quite easy puzzle game where you have to find your way across islands and destroy totems with the help of your fishing pole. Yup, fishing pole. Generally the game is quite nicely done but I had 2 problems with it. First of all the game has a total of 45 levels but they get repetitive really quick. The second problems are the boss levels. There are 3 in total (level 15, 30 and 45) and while I would almost never find myself dying in normal levels the boss ones where just death after death for me due to the sometimes unresponsive controls.
Look into the past
I forgot to do this last week, but if by some weird coincidence anyone cares about Puzzler World I have added it to last weeks post.
Faerie Solitaire - Completed in August 2013. It is a really lovely Solitaire game. The only complaint at all about it is not even regrading the game it self but one of the Steam achievements being extremely grindy. Just looking back again at this game made me really wanna play it again and good news for me is that they apparently released a remastered version of it in December and gave it all the existing owners \o/ I shall hopefully be playing that sometimes soon.
That’s a staggering amount of time put into Euro Truck Simulator and Pixel Puzzles Ultimate. Major props to you for the hard work you’re putting in on them, and I wish you godspeed in finishing Euro Truck Simulator! That’s going to be a very satisfying 100% c:
The total hours were accumulated over a long stretch of time, so it in the end it doesn’t total to a huge amount of time per day. Also PPU has a LOT of idle hours due to the fact that if you own all of the DLC you get an absurd amount of card drops (+50).
Thank you! It will be indeed :D

If you don’t enjoy it just shouldn’t worry about it and let it be :) I enjoy driving around while I am watching something on my other monitor because I am one of those people who just can’t sit around and do nothing while watching. Must.multitask.and.be.productive :D
Ah, nooooo! Motion Sickness sucks sooooooo much! Hope you’ll get done with it quick, so you can rest a bit from it :)
Have a great rest of the month! :*
Happy backlog killing :)
It does indeed >.< I almost never got it (unless an first person game would run at 30fps, that’s a pukefest anytime) but in the past few months got quite common and it is awful :’( I wish I knew why its happeing.
I am at ~88% done of the last achievement (to 100% the map), maybe 20ish hours left. Worst part is that I was at ~98% done in 2016 but all the DLC expansions dropped me back down to 60% >.<
Thank you! You too ^^
WHAT? Another 20h to get there? That sucks bad! For one stupid cheevo? I’m sorry to hear it! Good luck with that one!
Yeah, I dunno. I sometimes think it might be connected to the games becoming more and more realistic looking? But I am totally not sure about this, since there are some games that look real alive and still don’t bother me, yk?
But if it gets more, did you ever think about getting some anti driver sickness armbands? They help me a bit, not too much - I still can’t play a motion sickness game for hours - but it’s definitely less intense :)
If you only have the base game is not that bad, but with all the DLC the map is at least 2x as big. Buy hey at least I get to drive on some really cool looking routes in Italy and France now :D
I don’t think that is it because the games it happens on is really random for me and sometimes it is gonna be just fine and sometimes I can’t play them at all. I never thought of it since I don’t have any on hand because I don’t get car/boat/ sick. Might be a good idea to try if it keeps getting worse. Luckily today ETS2 was just fine for me. I managed to get up to 90% completed \o/
Italy and France sound awesome - although I’d prefer being there in rl :] :D
Yeah, sometimes is really doesn’t make sense. Some games work and others that seem to be basically the same, just don’t.
It’s worth a try at least ;)
I’m even thinking about trying the chewing gum but then I’m no fan of them in any case, so maybe that is stupid :D
I can’t really say for France as I have only seen like 0,001% of it, but I swear you actually can tell you are driving through Italy, it is so weird o.o
Is chewing gum actually supposed to help? I almost never do it because it hurts my jaw if I do it to much, but since it happens rarely it might actually be a good solution :o
Not ordinary chewing gum, but one for driving sickness. Guess it should work on the same thing, but then it is not really the same. That’s why the armbands are probably the better option, since they use some… erm.. specific spots on your body. Sry, can’t think of the right word right now :D
And since you (and I) don’t chew gums normally, guess we can just leave it at that :]
Ohhh I didn’t even know that exists :o
Well, we learn something every day, don’t we? :D
We do indeed!
