Welp, I failed again not to hoard the games. I bought 4 games, got 1 gift, won 2 games on SG and added 2 free games to my library (Hue and Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War - both seemed good enough to grab them). Blaeo still counts that I got 1 more game - probably it is Atomic Heart Demo or something else I got with previously listed games). Getting games is much more easier than finishing them šŸ˜… Out of approximately 35 hours of gaming I had in May ~20 hours took beating the Doom Eternalā€¦ I definitly should apply some sort of diet to my games library, but it seems impossible - I always find excuses to add new gamesā€¦

Games highlights of May:

DOOM Eternal: I enjoyed the game but canā€™t say I agree that it is ā€œwow epic 9/10!ā€ type of game. It was fun and engaging, but after beating it Iā€™m not sure I want to play more of it. Not even sure I want to get DLCs (The Ancient Gods) or even try multiplayer. 7/10

TitanfallĀ® 2: Never played Titanfall but heard a lot of good things about the game. So bought it while it was on the big discount. I played only campaign and enjoyed it a lot. Very well directed action. Beautiful graphics. A lot of mechanics, including very impressive ones (for example, a chapter where you had to move between realities). I was so engaged I finished the game in couple of sittings in two days. 9/10

TOHU: Purposefully took this game to play with my daughter. We liked it (she liked it a little more). Very nice drawing. In general, loic and understandable riddles. Special thanks to the developers for the built-in hint system - in those rare moments when I started to get stupid, and my daughter began to lose interest - it was enough just to win a mini-game and get a hint. Thus, the whole game was beaten without losing pace. 6/10

Shady Part of Me: Very beautiful and atmospheric game. The music was a delight. Not difficult at all, if you do not set yourself the task of finding and collecting all the ā€œbirdsā€. Although I do not regret the time spent in the game, in general, I will not remember it and I would not recommend it. 5/10

Thanks for the review. How old is your daughter? I played games with my boy-girl twins for years, before they got old enough that the only gaming they wanted to do was play Roblox. But I did pick up TOHU (and Shady Part of Me) because they looked enjoyable enough. The latter reminds me of Contrast, which I really enjoyed.

She is just 3.5 years old. While she can manipulate track pad or joystick - she is not really good at playing by her own (exceptions are ā€œLittle infernoā€ on tablet (she somehow even managed to beat the game while not clearly understanding the goals with a little help from my side (since she not only canā€™t read but also donā€™t know English - I helped her with some tasks like when something particular should be sent to a neighbor or when she couldnā€™t find some combos)) and games like ā€œ100 hidden catsā€).

Usually we play Lost in Play, A Tale for Anna, TSIOQUE, My Brother Rabbit - games that are also interactive stories and where she can search for stuff or suggest what things can be combined or where to go. Lost in Play was the best so far - both of us enjoyed it :)

She also liked to watch me playing Batman: Arkham Knightā€¦ But while she was watching I was just flew around the city and nothing more - didnā€™t want her to watch the action part of the game.

Aw thatā€™s cute, and reminds me of playing with my kids. They were about the same age when I started playing games with them. Some of our early favorites were Scribblenauts: Unlimited (which we called, ā€œHelp the Peopleā€), Sparkle 2 Evo (ā€œSparkleā€), Trainz Trouble, Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas (ā€œThe Boy who Breaks Jarsā€), and Driftmoon (ā€œThe Boy who Picks Mushroomsā€).

We also played TSIOQUE and My Brother Rabbit later on. I backed TSIOQUE on Kickstarter. I picked up A Tale for Anna not too long ago, but like I said, we donā€™t really play games together (sadface).

The best part is when they actually start becoming useful solving the puzzles. :D
