Alright. December is in the books. This month, I spent a lot of time playing Tactics Ogre: Reborn still, which I still haven’t finished after 90 hours, lol. But I am also taking a break with it, so I expect to resume playing this probably in February. I also did some survival challenges in The Long Dark after buying the Tales from the Far Territory DLC as well as some a survival mode run. And those two games were really the bulk of my gaming, although I have also been idling JAMs for most of the month as well, lol. I never really did too much in Judgement this month despite being somewhere around chapter 6, so maybe next month, I’ll pick it back up.
As far as games completed, I think my favorites this month was Zompiercer, which I thought was just a good fun and not overly complicated game.

December Retirements
- DUST - A Post Apocalyptic Role Playing Game - Fun, but needs more content.
- Sherlock Holmes Chapter One - Between the extremely janky gameplay and the randomness of some of the investigation stuff, not to mention some of the worst combat in gaming history, I just got tired of this game.
- Bomb Rush Cyberfunk - Super cool game, but doesn’t do much to guide players and is in general just not my type of game.
- No Space For All - I will always try out arcade titles, but I don’t really love them.
- Walking Simulator 2020 - Temu Death Stranding. It’s a joke game and plays that way.
- Djinn - The Forbidden Knowledge - Cool concept and execution, but the almost complete lack of guidance had me exclusively wandering randomly, and I don’t love that.
- Power Chord - The things that make this game cool also really hurt the core gameplay mechanics.
- Chronicles of cyberpunk - I didn’t find this game to really be playable at all.
- Minimalism - Super frustrating platformers will always be retired, but it was free, so I tried it out.
- Snowsquall Grip - So muchbacktracking. This game is actually cool (no pun intended), but I didn’t have it in me to try to find random items and then go back to the same places over and over.
- Distant Space 2 - Free arcade title (free at the time anyway). It’s good, but also not my thing.
- Iron Lung - This game is kind of awesome, but I could never figure out how to switch movement priorities from the Y axis to the X axis to get to certain areas.
- Rogue - Complex control scheme, absolutely no tutorial.
- Sword of Fargoal - Same as Rogue, only it also had input lag on top of that, lol.
Games Paused This Month
The Long Dark - I always revisit this every year or two and really I’m just waiting for episode five of Wintermute before playing again.
Tactics Ogre: Reborn - Just giving myself a break after 90 hours
Judgement - Will come back to it soon
Plans for January
I started playing Flashback and Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness. I’ll keep playing those along with wrapping up Nobody Wants to Die. Beyond that, I’d like to start Frostpunk 2, Worshippers of Cthulhu, and Triangle Strategy. And I’ll add in some smaller titles as well.
I played/finished Bomb Rush this month and LOVED it. But I did have to look up a lot of stuff because it definitely leaves you in the dark lol. Not my typical type of game either, but I adored the visuals and the story kept me going, simple as it was.
