July 2019
the month in which the backlog grew
Games beaten: 6
Games dropped: 2
Games added: 15
Overall: +7 games
Beaten/Completed
Sadly, none of these games are great. Rusty Lake Paradise is interesting enough, but not so much that go back to it anytime soon or buy the other Rusty Lake games. Most fun out of these was Bookworm Adventures Deluxe which is a really old and simple game, and is no longer sold on anywhere I could find, unfortunately.

Honorable Mentions
I haven’t beaten these games yet, but they took a good chunk of the month (and/or) I enjoyed playing them a lot.

I got Peregrin thanks to DepthOfGnosis! They gave me a 75% off coupon for it.
Got for free:
All off these, (except Tropico 5) are from Reddit. Tropico 5 is from Kinguin’s Crazy Free Weekends, and it’s actually the Complete Collection (which includes all of Tropico 5 DLCs).
Aww, it’s sad you didn’t like Abzu but I understand it’s not for everybody. I really loved the peaceful exploring.
You can get games for free on reddit?
I might eventually go back to it, but for now, it’s dropped.
There are two subreddits I follow: r/GiftofGames and r/steam_giveaway
It’s basically SteamGifts but Reddit version.
Thanks for the info, I didn’t even know there was such a thing on reddit :)
No problem! I also discovered them this month. Was on “recommended subreddits” or whatever that is called =D
Damn, you dropped ABZU? You didn’t liked it?
I was bored… not exactly didn’t like but there’s nothing in the game that makes me want to continue playing. Maybe because I’m not using a controller? Not sure =/
Ahh ABZU was on my wishlist… hmmmmm interesting to see you dropped it!
You might still enjoy it, but I can’t recommend it. Maybe check some let’s plays =D
I’ll have to do that! I won’t buy ABZU, but if I get it in a trade I’ll try it ;)
That’s a good idea!
Oh well, maybe you’ll like it more if you push a little further? IMO it’s a really relaxing game and it has some really beautiful visual spectacles later on with even amazing orchestral score. I played it with keyboard too and it was fine for me.
This was actually me trying it for a second time. I bought it back in 2017, didn’t understand a thing from it, and dropped. I picked it up again for SG monthly challenge (Lion’s Heart) and it just wasn’t enjoyable, sadly. I might go back to it after a while again, it’s not “dropped forever”, but not anytime soon. The soundtrack and the visuals are great, it’s not a bad game, but it wasn’t fun either sadly =(
