I’ve beaten Dishonored, the base game and both story DLCs, but I don’t think I’m done with it just yet. I’ve managed to get every achievement possible for a single playthrough (many are mutually exclusive). I may get back to it, do some trials and a 2nd playthrough (full stealth, non lethal one), but that’s for some other time :)
It turned out to be this kind of game that you start, thinking “I’ll just murder everyone left and right, I’m not good at sneaking around anyway” and then you finish what you aimed for, and not only you feel like playing more, but also feel like challenging yourself, as in “I think I could pull it off, I’ll try at least - it’ll be fun” :) Or reluctantly start the DLCs, cause you play as Daud who murdered Empress Jessamine, so not very likable person, but end up enjoying the story DLCs more than the main game, both the plot and powers. And while I still don’t like Daud, too much of a nihilist, I do understand him more. Devs somehow managed to make whole experience highly gratifying despite the protagonist. Same thing with trials - “Yeah, I’m done for now, not touching those. What? You unlock artwork for doing these … let me rethink my stance on it” XD
The game holds up so well, that it just grips you and pulls you back in, even if you didn’t plan sticking too long XD Great setting and aesthetics help with it as well ^^ I’m definitelly going to replay it, but i’ll go for at least one playthough of Dishonored 2 first. :) Also if they ever make a game (or DLC) where you play as a Brigmore witch (as far as playing as antagonists goes) - I would totally be into that ;)
Magic Flute was something between nice and so-so. The puzzles are timed (so to get 3 points you need to be fast or repeat till you’re fast enough). The visuals are pleasant. The background music, being the classical score was great, buuut … there is this dreadful trumpet sound on each error event (like clicking where character supposedly can’t go, trying to move a tile where it can’t be moved, etc) that plays really often, cause even clicking precisely in the middle of the tile doesn’t register as allowed move 2 of 3 times (input recognition being mobile port is quite wonky). So by the end of the game I wanted to take this trumpet and shove it down the throat of a person who thought it would be a good idea to include it in the first place. Annoyingly intense jarring sound just spoiled whole aural experience (so main selling point of this game).
The difficulty is all over the place. For me the hardest puzzle was 12 (and there are 31), so they don’t bother ramping up the challenge nicely, but throw a roadblock here and there. Oh, and one achiv is broken (over a year now, so it’s impossible to 100%). Overall it was an ok experience, good for killing some time while I downloaded other game ;)

I got to that point and miserably failed in my attempt at stealth-ing it. Got frustrated and felt like rage-quitting. Then I got that turn-enemies-into-ash power and it became fun again… Stealth-murdering everyone was fun. XD Anyway, I tried it because Dishonored 2 looked interesting. By the time I finished Dishonored, Dishonored 2 was no longer on my wishlist.
asfk I need to play more of dishonored-I already beat the main game but I started a second stealth playthrough
Good luck! ^_^
