December Overview
The end of December marks my first month at BLAEO and the end of a lucrative year. I’ll only be covering December’s progress this post, but that will change next year. So let’s get down to it…
December 2017 was the most completion dense month I’ve had since joining Steam, I’m proud to say! I’ve completed 41 games this month.
Luckily enough, I completed one of my favorite games of all time, and my favorite game of the year, even managing to earn the first 100% in the world, with the quickest playtime - OKAMI HD is a gem that everyone should play, I had a fantastic time reliving this childhood favorite, a masterpiece of games.
I don’t think I’ll have the ability to go into detail on every game, but here are the highlights (being the games I actually enjoyed), including Dark Souls II: SotFS; the game that started my BLAEO journey~

As I learned of BLAEO’s services, I had the incentive to actually play my SteamGifts winnings for the first time, though my progress wasn’t much considering the luck of this month, seeing as I won twenty-nine giveaways this month. Here they are, however.

And lastly, a nod to a non-achievement game, Doki Doki Literature Club, a wonderful experience. Thankfully, I did not have the game’s surprises spoiled for me, and I hope anyone who hasn’t played it yet has managed that themselves.
That wraps it all up, thanks for such a nice first month at BLAEO - I look forward to many more!
That’s amazing!
Was Okami difficult to 100%? Any good guides up? Any tricky bits, or is it just all about being thorough?
Thanks! Okami has a small grind for collectibles and only one real set of challenges. But taking into account my 2500+ hours playing as a kid, it wasn’t very difficult for me - I didn’t even die once! Considering it was already on PS3 with the same trophies/achievements I’m positive there’s a full-game guide around. There is one missable achievement, and two missable enemies, but you can collect almost everything before the end of the game if you’d rather backtrack than take things as they come.
Ohhhhh yessss that is wonderful news. I’ll try for the same!
Congratulations on the wonderful scores! A no-death playthough is astounding.
29 hours for Okami. I’m sure it did me take far longer as I played the game on the PS2 (without achievements but still collecting everything). But as I have seen in the answer above you more or less know the game in and out so that explains that one.
2 hours for Kraven Manor also appears very short to me. Technically you can play through in 15-30 minutes but only if you know what to do and if you don’t encounter one of the game-breaking bugs -_-
I’d say it would take a blind player around 60 hours for the 100% of Okami - but I obviously didn’t go into it too blind, haha.
Kraven Manor was relatively simple, I didn’t encounter any bugs except for a few which caused me to reload from the last checkpoint (like a statue getting stuck when I needed him to follow me). The average 100% time is only about 20 minutes longer than my time, so I don’t really see the issue.
Well, I needed double the time. But I’m usually slower than those completion times from other people as I often start using guides only the second round. Also, I had to replay the game several times as I got often hit in the last segment with the flying doll. While normally you could end and reload to the last save my game was bugged in a way that it crashed if I tried it at that specific point. So everytime I got hit in the end fight I had to replay to whole game. Which consumed a bit of time.
Yikes, my game crashed a few times when loading a save but I never had to replay the game. Sorry to hear
gosh…thats…thats about a third of what I’ve done all year…
>_<
well good for you!
