2017
29th week
In the 29th week of 2017 I finished these games
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Redux
I had expected something else from this game.
Basically it is a pure walking simulator with nice graphics and nice story.
You walk around and don't know exactly where you have to go and what you're looking for!
Both games do not look bad, but there are still little graphical differences. - Nothing else!
Because "Redux" was made with Unreal Engine 4.
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
This version has almost always lagged with me!
Besides, I've been stuck on every "ghost". ;D
Yeah, I'm a freak ... I've played through a game twice. ^^
Only for the achievements and because of the other graphic - senseless?
Overlord II
In comparison to Overlord is Overlord II also a nice little hack and slash game.
But the camera does what it wants, when I control the minions, it often stays in the same position.
I had also smaller bugs, where I had to restart the level.
Changes to Overlord would be:
There are now waypoints, which indicate to one where there are tasks and where a change of territory takes place.
You can recharge your life and mana with portals - very usefull. ^^
Minions can ride on three different animals. You can even control a Minion and you can also control a boat or a catapult.
In addition, you can revive dead minions, as they can now climb up levels.
Ah Overlord II is a game that had my interest a while ago but I didn’t put it on my wishlist for one reason or another. I’m pleased you enjoyed your overall experience, but the bugs were what put me off purchasing the game. I may revisit the prospect of getting my hands on this game again though :D
The most important change as far as I could tell in the Redux edition is that you can save anywhere, instead of hard-to-predict checkpoints. I haven’t played the game yet (*sob*), but I didn’t buy the game until I read they fixed the save system (and it came out in a bundle). I never thought of playing both versions, but I suppose once you’ve played the redux version, you can cruise through the original version without needing to save. Hmmm! :D
I had a bit of trouble with the first Overlord– namely I suck at it, can never seem to control the minions correctly, and I’m a micromanager who hates to lose a single minion! Overlord II sounds like it addresses some of these issues. Hmmm! :D
Don’t you want to play the single-player campaign of Portal 2 before playing the co-op version? Or maybe you already have? That way you’ll be familiar with all of the mechanics– particularly how it expands upon the original Portal. I played part of the co-op campaign once, but we never finished. I’d love to go back and play it someday, but my time is not my own. :(
Thanks for the update,
WildstarWildstorm!I’m in the process, but I didn’t have as much time this week as I thought. :/
I just wanted to tell what I was going to play this week.
And look for someone for the co-op modus.
