Just for the sake of not skipping it at all. It shouldn’t be so delayed, I know. So, just in short: spent too much time in multiplayer games (and continue spending…) and in Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. Other than that I finished Schein (thanks to Play or Pay event in Beard-topia & The QUIPS groups) and completed Zup!, Star Sky and Voxelized (yeah… launched it, now it’s off from the list, I hope forever) in October.
Schein - platformer with a lot of nice ideas and interesting mechanics which missed a proper design (in a lot of senses: game design, art design, sound design, tech design after all - it lags at some places). So yeah, good game, but very (VERY) irritating at some points.
Zup! - short casual game for the sake of achievements (they represent letters and numbers mostly). It’s fun. Can be completed in 20 minutes.
Star Sky - interesting experience. It’s a very relaxing game. If it can be called a game. You have 3 options: to stand still, to walk in one direction or to run in the same one direction. With only this you explore the night. Charming.
Voxelized - I think everyone knows enough about this game. No comments.
New section: plans for the month! They are rather humble, so be kind to them:
1) As always, I want to finish at least one game for monthly
2) 100% in Left 4 Dead
3) 100% base game in Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (so that I can mark it as “finished” and move to beating of DLC)
4) Finish Oxenfree
5) 100% in Awesomenauts (very doubtful…)
Good luck on Binding :D It’s kinda hard :P I stopped at 72% >< Oxenfree on the other hand will be easy to beat :D But It takes at least 3 playthrough to complete… :/ Anyway! Good luck :)
Thanks :) I’m just missing 5 (?) achievements from base game and they are all kind of dumb ones - Super Meat Boy, Bandage Girl, Donate 999 coins and 2 God achievements. Sadly, Rebirth is much less friendly in sense of giving you Super Meat Boy/Bandage Girl than original game was. I will need to work specifically to get those and it removes part of fun. Like I have 200 hours at the moment and I still didn’t get them. I 100%ed original game in less and had that happening definitely more than once without using any meta tactics. So, all the truly hard stuff is done (like The Lost achievements).
For Oxenfree I just want to finish the story once, I started it on Halloween, played for 4 hours and stopped. I’m not sure if I’m going to replay it right after first finish, but definitely will replay it eventually as I’m curious about some decision and I love the game.
Oh, forgot to tell you. For both the meat boy and bandage girl cheevo, I got them both “farming” with the Book of Revelations method. It was the fastest for me even with Afterbirth and the box of friends available. More explanations here if needed.
Yep, I know. I plan to search to Book of Revelations at the moment. If I get bored with it, I might go for other tactics but I don’t like them (like using Monster Manual).
Nice plans for the month (even tho you’re putting the bar pretty high with both Isaac and L4D to 100%). Have fun with Oxenfree, I really liked it.
L4d is almost finished - I’ve done the hardest part since the start of the month. Same is for Rebirth (I hope..). Thanks :) I like it a lot too, just it’s hard to make myself play it. I don’t know why.
Now I don’t remember for sure, but is it in L4D or the second that there is that stupid cheevo where you need to carry the garden gnome through the whole level? I remember playing a whole afternoon back then on 360 to get that one.
It is L4D2 - Dark Carnival -. And it is by far one of the easier achievements since you can do it completely alone (in comparison to the expert campaigns which are near impossible with bots). For me the “hardest” achievements in L4D have always been those with some kind of “versus” involved -_-
Back then I had no problem with those multiplayer achievements as I was playing a lot online with the same group of people. Nowadays that I don’t play much online, I despise those multiplayer cheevos and rarely go for them :(
I have no problem with multiplayer achievements per se. I just have trouble finding someone because I don’t like asking randoms really. But the L4D multiplayer achievements have been competitive. And I don’t like to play against others. It is …. bad for my health.
Adelion already answered and yes, it wasn’t really that hard with friends unless you were playing on expert of course. If you still need that one I can help you with it after I finish first l4d :)
Thanks it’s actually all good i unlocked it back then on 360. The problem we had is that nobody wanted to be the gnome carrier because it was the boring role :p but in the end we had fun bc it was with friends.
Good luck with Isaac :P
Thank you! The Lost was already done in September, so it’s not that bad now :)
:D
I still got a long way to go, haven’t even unlocked The Lost… I have Afterbirth though, not sure if it makes the game easier or harder. (Maybe I just suck at the game :P)
The Lost is easier in Afterbirth. The rest I don’t know yet, still need to play it. I launched it once just to see how it looks and then came back to base game until I finish it.
Give up! You will never complete L4D1. It is IMPOSSIBLE ^^
Nooooooooo /o\ At the beginning of the month (before I finished remaining survivals) I was rather pessimistic. Thanks for the help
