August Final Report

I didn't play many games this month, but I did hit another milestone on August 1st:
777K Achievements / 88% Avg / 1100 Perfect - August 1, 2018
Mostly I really binged on Picross by finishing Picross Fairytale - nonogram: Red Riding Hood secret and Picross Fairytale: Legend of the Mermaid. I like how the puzzles in these are satisfying to complete, as an experienced picross-er (The images aren't good, but I don't picross for the pictures). However, if you've never done Picross before, I'd recommend you start with something like Picross Touch.
I also got the urge to get into a new idle game, so I'm now playing: MONMUSU, Trailer Park Boys: Greasy Money, and Holyday City: Reloaded. (Also tried Campaign Clicker, but it requires/rewards active play too much.)
A Normal Lost Phone was pretty decent. It's a short game where you poke around a phone you found and slowly uncover the story of who it belonged to.
Did some Tomb Raider grinding with a friend. (I am possibly going to get all the multiplayer achievements before I finish the campaign >.>)
Real Life Gaming
GenCon was fantastic and I cannot imagine a better one ever. I got a book signed by one of my favorite authors, won the competition I'd signed up for, and had my best RPG and LARP experiences yet. Picked up a bunch of new board games too, of course - the highlight of which is a signed copy of Detective, which led me to creating my first real workshop mod: the limited-release demo of Detective for Tabletop Simulator.
Last night, I also tried D&D again, but it's really still not my thing. Too many dice rolls, too many modifiers, too much combat, too monster-of-the-week, etc. But beggars can't be choosers, I guess...
Over the course of August...
I bought 65 games in 4 bundles.
I redeemed 47 games to my account.

Great to hear you had an eventful RL as well. And yeah, I get that about D&D (or similar pen&paper RPGs). Although they are great overall, they just need so much time to get into the rules and stuff… I stopped playing P&P for similar reasons. My group just didn’t have that much time anymore (on account of everyone not being teens anymore) and we needed so long to remember all the rules once we had time that we barely played anymore or made next to no progress.
