Assassination #14
Hello! I’m trying to finish the assassin’s creed’s before the new one releases, finished this one last week and already started Syndicate.
- Beautiful graphics.
- Fun side missions, really liked the riddle missions.
- Good Stealth.
- New parkour animations, free running looks nice and more fluid.
- Fighting is harder in a good wa
- The history was ok
- Arno looked funny on the prologue but then got all serious during the history, probably my least favorite character on the series
- The sound is awful, don’t know if it’s a problem with my setup but it sounded bad.
- Despite the improved parkour animations, the character still gets stuck or does’t do what you want a lot of times.
- They removed some nice things from previous games, like whistling and hiding bodies.
See you on the next assassination, Have fun!
Unity will be my next AC game so it’s good to hear other reviews first that aren’t focused on performance so much over everything else.
Series always suffered from having controls that were at odds with precise control you would need for a stealth game. I can’t count how many times I ended with Ezio or Altair plastered against the wall or accidentally climbing up a building because you had “one button does everything” to maintain high action mode and game automated so much of your movement. From what I hear Unity actually has a crouch button? That alone sounds like a game changer. I will miss whistling, though. Great way to cheese your way if you wanted to stay hidden. :D
On Unity you have a button combination to climb up and another to climb down, it’s better than the previous games, but it still has some problems. Still, is nice to see they’re working on it :)
