Platformer. Left/right move, A jumps, and RT stabs. There are no enemies; instead, you stab red cushions to latch onto them, then you can pull yourself back to launch yourself over long pits or tall platforms. There are also a few times you need to hold the Y button to open a gate, get a platform moving, or remove some other form of roadblock; it’s more of an aesthetic addition than a mechanics one.
The game is only 20 minutes long in total, so it doesn’t have time to build on its mechanics that much, but what’s here works. The tutorial gets the mechanics across, and there’s some mild platforming–nothing really challenging, but not too boring, either. There are medallions you can collect, but they rarely make you go off the beaten path to get them, and even when they do, it’s a short-enough path that they’ll always be very-much on screen and visible; you won’t have to worry about accidentally missing any of them, especially since they remain collected if you die. I was able to get them all on my first playthrough.
Also, it’s free (on both GOG and itch), so I can easily recommend it.
