#3: It’s fun to update when there nothing to update

Has it really been a more than a month since the last time I posted here? Time flies, I guess! I haven’t had much time to complete my minuscule backlog, and with exams coming up I don’t expect to get to it in at least a couple of weeks.

Since my last update I have only played about two hours of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, where I’ve now got a lovely home in Whiterun.

In keohookalani’s Berlin event I managed to win Tomb Raider, which I have yet to even install (but it’s on priority!) and the day after I managed to win Burnout Paradise in a public giveaway, which I have tested for a few minutes. I used to love playing Burnout 3: Takedown on my PS2, so I’m also pretty exited to try that out!

I just played Burnout Paradise this month and the spirit is still there, in my opinion. The cars go like bullets and takedowns are just as satisfying as I remember from the PS2 era. Looking forward to your thoughts about it!

That’s great to hear! I used to love to play Road Rage in Takedown, is there an equivalent mode in Paradise as well? :)

uguleley

Yeah, Road Rage is still there. :)

Tomb Raider is incredible, there is no words to say how much I loved this game! :D
I don’t like much racing games, but Burnout Paradise Ultimate Box was one of few (actually one of two racing games) I really liked. There are so many races, and others types of competition (my favorite was one where I needed to keep taking down cars one after another), and even in normal races, I loved to takedown them. I even recorded when I played, here, if you want to see Here yeah, horrible graphics settings, I didn’t have a good pc that time

Nice little video! The takedowns look just as satisfying as it did in Takedown :D

You’ll like this one as much as u liked Takedown. I liked it so much I got platinum… probably I’ll install it again sometime to play again.
And thanks about the video…. I’m not any kind of youtuber, just like to record (I’m not doing it lately) for fun :D

Oh man, lucky you! I loved Tomb Raider. I hope you enjoy it too. :)

I’ve never actually played a Tomb Raider game before, so it’ll be exiting to try that out! :)

If achievements are your thing then Skyrim and Tomb Raider are both pretty easy.

For Skyrim, whilst you can cut yourself off from several quests if certain people are killed and as such lock yourself out of certain achievements most of these can be got in no time on a new character just by running straight through the appropriate questline. The only one that’s truly missable and will require particular attention for a ful playthrough is Oblivion Walker.

For Tomb Raider, aside from the collectibles which can be gotten at any point anyway he only really missable achievement is Chatterbox. I missed this when I first played it on the 360, and even when I was ready for it still managed to miss it again when I first played through on PC. Some of the multiplayer achievements require a group but can all be easily done for the entire group in an hour or two if properly organised and some can be done solo - including all of the levelling achievements.

Thanks for the tips! I don’t always go for achievements but they’re pretty fun when they show up in the corner of the screen. I’ll keep this in mind when I play those games! :)
