May’s Stats
aka. Great games, low finish rate.
Hey there fellow assassins. I’m a bit late to the report party this month, but here we go. I played quite a few really good games in May (I especially recommend Subnautica Below Zero and The Wild at Heart, reports on those probably next month) but with diversity came a lack of focus, hence less finished ones. I’ll still consider it a good month since I had a lot of fun. I’ll leave you with this report and go catch up on yours for the ones who posted. Feel free to share if you played anything you liked this month, I always love to hear about it.

ABC Challenge 2.0 Progress (3/27)

Tag Challenge #1 Progress (2/12)
Finished this month: 0So I started the month committing tax evasion . It was an overall really fun game, reminiscent of the old 2D Zelda games in the design and gameplay. The writing was really funny, it's full of references and memes and the design is adorable. The only downside is that the game is really short. Worth your time but be aware it's so short.
This was a cool town management/farming/crafting/adventuring game. It was really addictive (I promise, just one more day and I stop playing) and I put a lot of time into it. I've put 50 hours into it, so i'm very happy with it, but I have two small criticism. First, if you want all the achievements, some of them are extremely grindy, to the point that I don't think I'll go for completion. The second problem I had is that the "ending" is very underwhelming to say the least. That being said, that's not the important point in a game of this genre, and that part is done really well. I would recommend the game if the genre appeals to you.
I was very intrigued by this roguelike about mountain climbing. It's a pretty uncommon theme and the idea seemed fun to me. You move your alpinist on an hexagonal map with different elevations and attempt to successfully climb (and descend) 3 summits. For that you'll need to manage different vital stats and use the equipment you can find along the way. I really liked the game even though when I played it, it suffered from a lack of variety in the events. It's been patched since then and more events have been added so I'll for sure play it some more. Recommended if you like roguelikes and the theme appeals to you.
Nice, I’m glad to see you’re still distracted by cozy grove and littlewood and you have no reason to play ani-
Animal Crossing: 312 hours
Waitasecond :glare
It’s only 2 more hours than last month and Tbh since I got World’s End Club I hadn’t launched it since i was lazy to swap the cartridge (yes wow, i know) except for yesterday cuz i wanted to collect something on the new month.
:sure
How do you like World’s End Club? Have my eyes on that for a long time but still unsure if it’s worth? >D As far as I know it’s very different from Danganronpa and Zero Escape despite that it looks like those? Sooo… can you recommend it?
Look, I have such a hard time recommending it… let me explain. I went in as a bit hyped because Danganronpa and Zero Escape some of my favourite series in the genre, and i really wanted to like it. And the story is good so far, and weird and mysterious, like you’d expect. But then… then there is a huge underwhelming and poorly responsive plateforming gameplay stuck into there between every sequence of the story… I don’t know. I can’t say I hate it but I can’t say I’m too enthusiastic about it either. For sure i’m not as much into it as the pre-mentionned games. As of the game itself? Hard recommend, even tho I’m really liking SOME aspects of it. I wish they’d have spared me of that meh plateforming and it was just a VN tbh at this point, cuz I keep playing by short sessions for the story but ugh that plateforming phases are not my thing.
Ps: I think there is a demo on the nintendo store ?
That doesnt sound good, really! And sadly! Had high hopes for it as well :I Some gameplay between massive amount of text is a nice addition imo, but at the same time can also ruin the game as you describe :’) Will see if I can locate the demo then, thanks! And then wait for a discount, probably. How do you like the setting? Heard that it was more of a ‘enjoy friendship time~’ kind of game instead of the more dark setting of the other games, which doesn’t have to be bad per se, but does it fit well to the story?
The setting is okay. I mean it starts as a danganronpa-esque thing and then transforms into something else, like yousay more of a “the power of friendship” type of thing, but still has a mystery weird story going on at the same time so it IS a bit dark, just not the same kind or intensity. I’d say good VN, meh game. I am STRUGGLING to continue playing even tho I really wanna know where this is going on how boring and lackluster that plateforming is. :/
Congrats on the progress! I deleted Littlewood from my wishlist, because I don’t want it to suck all my playtime for 2 months xD
Thank you :) It’s a good game it’s just… addictive I guess
