What do I put here???

Original name: Meeprulez

I play games, I watch anime, I listen to whatever music sounds good to me.

That’s about it. I’m simple and boring.

ABC Challenge

I haven’t really been keeping up with my backlog due to multiplayer games and stuff like my first semester of university, but I came across the ABC Challenge Master List and thought that I could probably do that!

I’m no good at formatting these kinds of posts ;_; so I’ll just link the list HERE. I don’t have a game for letters Q or Y so I put in 1BitHeart as a number and A summer promise to forever cause its title begins with Chinese characters. I made the list as a mix of SG wins, games I started but didn’t complete yet and games I just wanted to play that have an ending of some sort. The only game that might be a bit weird to complete would be Zombie Kill of the Week - Reborn because it doesn’t really have an end, just endless survival waves. I don’t have any other games that fit the Z category, so I figured I’d play it until I unlock enough items or perhaps go for Steam achievements.

The only things I wanted to set for myself were:

  • Finish by the end of 2018
  • List can be completed in any order (other games can be played as well)
  • If a game has issues pertaining to gameplay or is too bad to continue, I’ll substitute it for another of the same letter

Thanks for reading and happy hunting, fellow assassins!

I haven’t really kept up with this, despite keeping the tab open to try and remind myself u_u but here goes.

Games Eliminated:

Uncrowded Will Not Play: It tried to make a quick buck from the success of Unturned, but even worse than that. It seems like the developers took half of the code in Unturned but forgot about the other half. Certain sounds are extremely louder than others. The sound of getting hit is basically the only indicator that a zombie is behind you because apparently zombies almost no noise when approaching you. Guns don’t work because the bullets that come out have no hitbox. The only reason I have 9 hours in it was because I idled it overnight for cards.

Wolfenstein: The New Order Beaten: Finished 1 of the 2 arcs of the game. It’s pretty fun, though I’m still wondering how the protagonist can carry 2 assault rifles, 2 shotguns, 2 pistols, a laser cutter/person melter, a scoped rifle and a minigun all at once. I still have to come back to run the second arc and find all the collectibles, but that can be for another time.

Fairy Bloom Freesia Beaten: The story was a bit disappointing because I finished it pretty quickly and I’d like to have seen some more development from the characters. Eventually, I did learn some combos, but it seemed like you need to throw those out the window against every boss. All of them had some cheese strategy to fight them, so I was a bit disappointed with that too. There is new game plus, but I’m not sure what that entails yet so I’ll leave it for another time.

This War of Mine Beaten: This game is really nice because I like management games where you constantly upgrade stuff. This game just happens to take place in the middle of a war where you play as the civilians. It encompasses so many different aspects of war, the living essentials, the shelter, the scavenging and looting for supplies, and the human interaction in these kinds of crises. There are the rational ones, the scared, the overly defensive, the apathetic and the bandits. This game throws all of that together into a single civilian shelter you must manage to get them through the war.

Broforce Beaten: As a great Steam review said: Michael Bay The Game. It’s extremely accurate, considering they brought in as many action movie stars as they could and added “Bro” into all their names. Also great if you’re feeling really American and want to shoot some terrorists.

Dead Pixels Beaten: I can say that I’ve beaten this, but there are a lot more achievements to go for. It’s an arcade style “beat-em-up” where you need to need to shoot your way through the zombie apocalypse to get to the chopper on the other side of town. It’s simple enough that the mechanics are easy to grasp, but RNG will decide if you deserve to scavenge enough supplies to get to the next trader safely.

Games Acquired:

Won on Steamgifts: Cook, Serve, Delicious!, To The Moon, Lifeless, Always Sometimes Monsters, Sins of the Demon RPG, Puzzle Agent, The Bureau: XCOM Declassified

Gifted: Spec Ops: The Line, Don’t Starve Together, MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptune VS Zombies, Stardew Valley, Turmoil, Ultimate Arena

I really need to get to work.

First couple of weeks here, but I haven’t done too much :/

Sakura Spirit Completed: The first visual novel to start the series of well-drawn ecchi by Winged Cloud. There isn’t much to say about it since there’s only 1 choice in the game which leads to different scenes, but still converges back together for 1 ending. Fox girls ^.^ Feel free to visit my screenshots for the lewds of Sakura Spirit maybe other games to come as well. http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198054511632/screenshots/

New computer Completed: This counts as clearing my backlog right? I’ve always wanted to make a better PC than the ones I’m always used to using, but I was always too lazy to research and find out how to make one. Well, this August I finally said, “You know what, I’m actually going to build a great gaming desktop, so that I can play the games I couldn’t on my old one.” I’m happy that I could build it before school starts, even though the motherboard took 2 weeks to arrive. Now, I have a desktop that can run the AAA titles sitting in my backlog and the other more GPU intensive ones.

Mad Max Unfinished: I started Mad Max, so I can’t say much about it yet, but it seems fun. I’d say the gameplay aspect kinda feels like Shadow of Mordor. You need to destroy watchtowers and enemy camps while searching for supplies and doing quests to upgrade your car and character.

I’ve also been playing a few other games that don’t really have an end (Warframe, Payday 2, Killing Floor 2). I know these games won’t help me finish my backlog, but they’re just so fun! I’ll try to limit them a bit to finish some other games, but no guarantees.

Look forward to working on picking off a couple other games in the next week or two.
