A really silent month

Another month low in gameplay, moving from houses, work, pets, there is so much right now around me to sit and play properly, but managed to at least put proper time on a game this month yay!!

If we ignore Shattered Memories (because for some reason a lot of people do heh) this is the very first time I was able to play a Silent Hill from start to finish and I am so glad I did, while I was unsure if I would be required to play the first one to understand, that doesn't seem to be the case as the story can be perfectly understand without it… Well… the story is difficult to understand not gonna lie but… Lets keep it as an awesome game okay?

7 Playthroughs? Really? Well this will take me several hours considering that even rushed it can take like 4 hours each... maybe

February game plans:

Something's missing

I did not had the chance to play anything during November, as I got a new job and spent a lot of time doing transitions, not just with the job but I took it as an opportunity to turn my life around, now that I spend all the day at home with a remote job I want to use that saved time to get into my real passion and try to eventually make something significant out from it, which is Art, writting, drawing, music, cinema.... That's the passion I am looking for.

I have played several rouge-like/lite and yet Hades shines aboves most of them, the concepts of rouge games are MOSTLY well implemented but I do admit that the biggest mechanic fells odd which are the power ups you get every playthrough to the point that only a handful felt useful in my perspective. I don't really have any other complain about it appart that I have not played it enough.

Will 100% eventually, I expect some level of grinding but it doesn't seem that much compared to other rouge games

It was nominated to Game of the Year for a reason, this game lacks story, the gameplay is almost the same every playthrough, heck even the developer expected nothing from this game and yet here is one of the most addictive and simple yet complex rouge-like I've ever played. The only thing I have against is the spike of difficulty between some levels which forces you to have a broken build or you cannot progress.

Way too much grinding, which I love but not expecting to 100% this anytime soon

January game plans:

BACK IN ACTION!!

It's been a while since I left SG and did my last BLAEO post, 2 years already!! Lots of ups and downs in my life, 3 different homes, 3 new pets, a new job. Well there are stuff that I am still improving, but I'm taking one step at a time, tried to run before learning how to walk, don't do it kids, it will only go bad. Anyway I decided to start fresh and get back into gaming now that I have more time for myself.

A really cute, fun and full of cat puns, Cat Quests have some strong and weak points, there are no much variation on the enemies, a lot of equipment that you end no using, dificulty only scales in the amount of damage done and amount of skills the enemies casts it doesn't really feel much progression on that aspect. However with a simple story and game design it can provide quite the entertainment for a day of two

It's required to do a minimum of 4 playthroughs to get 100%, there is almost no difference between plays except for some modifiers. Getting all the achievements is a sink of time. This is a really bad side for achievement hunters.

While Castlevania has a lot of games already, the three games present in this collection are by far the best ones, I would consider all of them on the same level as Symphony of the Night. It's good to note that all of them were ported from Nintendo DS, you would imagine that moving them would imply a lost in quality, however Konami did a fantastic job to make it look as good as the original in a way bigger screen, plus implementing a smooth system to replace the touch screen mechanics.

6 playthroughs are required to get the 100%. Sadly only 3 achievements are not story related, so the achievements feel trivial, the other 3 achievements require a second playthrough on each game, which only cut content from the first play. I would say this is the only aspect where this game really lacks hard

Another Artifex Mundi HOG, while they are really good at them and this one had more logical puzzles, the audio voices feel odd and the conversations didn't feel natural, more than other HOGs.

Can be completed in a single playthrough, however most achievements are trivial and don't really offer anything unique

Don't get me wrong it is a really good game, but it is really frustrating because of the one hit mechanic, failling to kill an enemy will result in insta death almost all the time, and the hitboxes are weird to deal with, plus controllers make you feel the character is not doing what you're trying to do. Game has some really good bangers music and overall it's pretty enjoyable

Some achievements require a lot of grinding or are quite complex, will go back at it at some point but no intentions to get 100% on it anytime soon
