Fresh BLAEO member, but veteran gamer who started with an MSX playin Pinguin Advantures, then moved on to a CGA IBM PC with Dig Dug, Prince of Persia, Street Rod, Blues Brothers and many more. In my teen years I spend many hours on the N64, especially playing local multiplayer games like GoldenEye 007, Perfect Dark, and Mario Kart 64 with my friends.

Since then I’ve always had a soft spot for Nintendo and many of their treasured franchises: The Legend of Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Pokemon, and others. I’ve had a PC from the time I could afford one myself and kept on playing games. Often not the fresh releases, but the ones a little older and cheaper to pick up.

Nowadays, I’m buying bundles from time to time to expand my collection. Unfortunately, playing those games is often postponed in favor of real-life things to do. Additionally, gaming has to compete with my other hobby of watching movies and series. So, while I’m moving slowly through my backlog, I do like to keep track of my progress and see what others recommend: enter BLAEO!
