I stopped playing game for a while after my last post to focus on some real life business. It didn’t go very well, so I was pretty depressed for a while but that’s the past now. I started playing games again for a few months now and managed to finish a few. I really like video games, it helped me relax from the terrible reality of normal life. Sorry for being depressing, life is not really going well but I’m still trying to hang on there.
I loved the style, the story was good, the humour really worked for me and I like the way it combines FPS with RPG elements like the skill tree. I played the whole game solo and some parts were frustratingly hard, I probably shouldn't have started with Zero but he was a cool mysterious samurai who speaks in haiku and I couldn't help myself. I played a bit of the Siren and Mechromancer characters and they were good too, though Mechromancer made it a bit too easy for my taste (yes I may have masochistic tendency). The DLCs are not bad from what I've played but I was getting sick of this game so I dropped it for now and will come back to finish them later.
This game makes me remember when I was younger, the great feeling of going on an epic adventure I got when playing games like Final Fantasy IX or Chrono Cross. It's a shame I missed this game back then, but I was so very lucky to win it on SG and I enjoyed every second of it. Great characters, great music, wonderful story, amazing experience. The combat is the weakest part but it's fairly simple and there's not much grinding unless you want lots of Demon Fangs or finish achievements, both of which are optional. The fanservice is kind of weird though, especially Sakuya's early butt window which was really distracting. It gets really cheesy in some parts but I cried anyway, especially near the end because I'm a softie for these kinds of stories.
Great visual, heartwarming story, over all a nice enough game to pass your time with. It just didn't grab me much, so walking around finding collectibles got boring pretty fast.
Great blend of immersive sim and horror, some segments genuinely freaked me out so much I had to stop the game for a few minutes to calm down. Great gameplay and story, I very much enjoyed it - until the ending. It changed the perspective on everything in a way that I didn't like much. It's a pretty interesting perspective, to be fair, and it explains many things that felt off. It's just that I would like it a lot more if the game leans more on the psychological and existential horror of Morgan struggling with losing their identity after having their memories set back multiple times, and realizing all the neuromods are making them more Typhon than human. It actually soured me a bit on the game, but it's still a pretty great game that I enjoyed a lot.
Gorgeous, wonderful, lovely. One of the most, if not the most, beautiful game I have played. Not just the visual but the story too, I actually cried at several points especally towards the end. If you like games heavy on stories and style you should definitely try it out! Though maybe not if you don't like very hard platformers because this game is fucking hard. My cheap controller didn't work well with it even with x360ce so I ended up playing with keyboeard and mouse, which is actually not that bad. I'm pretty bad at platformers anyway so who knows if playing with a good controller would have helped me die less. All the rage moments are worth it to experience such an amazing game.
HOG by Artifex Mundi so pretty good, as usual for this company. You get to be the hero who save your husband from weird shady men in black hood and a tentacle monster, which honestly would be a lot more exciting if it went the hentai way. I like the setting, kind of Bioshock vibe (which I still have yet to finish).
Tomorrow is my country’s national holiday so here’s a cheap bundled games train for those who want it.
Life can be really hard sometime, it’s important to have some activity that help you unhooked for a couple hours…
Hopefully everything will work out and get better for you, sending you positive vibes and hugs 💖
Thank you very much! Positive vibes and hugs to you too.
Hope that everything gets better for you soon, stay strong and positive!!
I won the Abyss recently, can’t wait to play it! :) And Bioshock is great great great game, I love the series. ;D
Thank you for the encouragement! It’s not really outstanding, but HOGs by Artifex Mundis are of good quality. I have a serious case of attention deficit, so many good games I tried then just stopped for no reason. I’ll get back to it soon, I remember really liking what I’ve played of it.
