I didn’t make posts for quite a while, it’s time to wrap up my backlog struggle.
SEPTEMBER
FPS with a twist - time moves when you move. I had a really good time with it, if you didn't touch it by this time then what are you waiting for?
It's the most innovative shooter I've played in years!
Can't even describe the genre of this one, it's like an interactive story about the revolution in Iran with point'n'click gameplay and minor player choice consequences.
An interesting interactive story about Iran revolution.
OCTOBER, all games were for the monthly theme.
Well it's Fortix... yeah...
It's Fortix.
Fortix 2... same deal.
2?
A puzzly-buildy game, connect the goo blobs to reach the goal. I don't remember why i dropped it but it's a greatly fun game made by an awesome developer and i enjoyed it a lot.
Tomorrow Corporation, i loved all 3 of their games and highly recommend them.
It's pretty much a 2d Silent Hill. Everything is very nicely done - story, art, MUSIC, atmosphere! Totally recommend it!
2d Silent Hill! Play it!
NOVEMBER
Also picked it up for October monthly theme but didn't finish it in time, no regrets anyway! A second installment of a great RPG series by CD Project RED, gameplay is way better than in the first game but still leaves a lot of room for wishing better. The story pretty much picks up where the book finishes (and i just finished reading it before picking the game, what a coincidence :P) and it's as good as you expect from a Witcher game. The only really bad thing i can tell about it is the boss fights... they're just ugh...
Second game from the Witcher franchise, it's pretty great as expected.
It's the Alien Shooter... TD. They pretty much reused the sprites from their Alien Shooter games and made a tower defense, but surprisingly it's pretty good and i would recommend it for TD lovers, just like all the Alien Shooter games for top-down shooter lovers!
If you like TD genre and/or Alien Shooter franchise then i highly recommend this one.
DECEMBER
Old point'n'click goodness, wanted to play it for like 15 years but never actually did until now (won it on SG AND that monthly theme!). I liked it a lot, that story and the world they built... just awesome, had some troubles playing it through cause i couldn't find what i need to do but it's all fine.
A very recommended p'n'c game for genre fans!
Could be a fun 2d building/strategy/action game, but it got abandoned and all we got is a buggy poorly controlled mess...
Had potential... wasted.
Surprisingly fun short puzzle game. Won't spoil anything.
You might like it... or not.
Easily the best game i played in 2017! Very atmospheric horror first person adventure from the developers of Penumbra and Amnesia, though monsters feel forced and not very healthy for the gameplay at times. The story, audio, visuals - everything is just awesome!
Easily the best game i played in 2017!
JANUARY+FEBRUARY, barely had time to play so i finished only one game in over a month…
Action RPG from the Larian studios and their Divinity franchise, not the best of their games but it's still pretty decent. The gameplay is very dull and i didn't enjoy it, i had some fun with the story and the world/characters though.
I'd recommend it if you like the lore of the Divinity series.
Yes! Superhot! I have only played it in VR but it was so fun! Gotta say, it’s fantastic getting out your anger. Great group kill assassin!
Thanks, I’d love to try it in VR, maybe some day…
