Issue #3
July 2020
__________________________________Change
Hello again!
You might notice in this report that I changed a few things.
I have added a drop down to the Donut chart to give some extra info.
I like how it turned out and have learned some new things in trying to code it (or however I should call it). I even added some color to it!
There are also some changes made to the tabs.
I changed the symbol for wins ( instead of ), added some tabs ( Bought & Gifts ) and links ( ex. link to the PAGYWOSG event site ).
The game panels have also changed a little. There are now thumbs ( ) to make it clearer what I thought about the game.
There are a few more little changes. But the change that I like the most is the panel that I made for DLC's.
There are also a few changes and additions made to my profile (do check it out!). I decided to add the "Limbo🔄" tag.
There was a game that I had difficulty with deciding if it was beaten or not. So I asked some lovely people for their opinion. I decided that the game in question would be considered beaten. But for games that I really don't know, because they don't have a tutorial, story or achievements, I made the "Limbo🔄" tag. You can find out more about my tags and what they mean to me on my profile page under the " Lexicon" tab.
Hm, that bit was a bit longer than I had expected... Oh well! On to the next part!
I won less games than last month, and I'm happy with that. 16 games was a bit too much!
It wasn't always easy to get myself to play games this month. I had some things on my mind...
I won Cat Quest and am super happy about that. But I wanted to keep it to maybe do a stream and play it for the next PAGYWOSG (CAT GAMES!!! 🥳).
This might be getting too long, so I'll let ya'll go and explore the tabs.
Thank you for reading!
Nora💜

Games beaten or completed this month
A free to play game with nice art and nice ideas.
But still needs some work to make it an enjoyable game to play.
This is turn-based strategy board game. It has nice visuals and a little bit of a story.
I like playing board games and also liked this game. I finished the tutorial, that is why I decided to mark it as beaten.
But there is still a lot left to do. I can earn a lot more achievements and I would love to play this game with a few friends.
It will probably take some time before I can add this to the blue list, but I really do enjoy playing this game.
I started this gaming wanting to get a golden score every turn. But I noticed that it became difficult for me to even start this game.
So I decided to just play and go back later to try and get the perfect score. It helped me enjoy the game again.
It's something that I would only recommend to people who don't mind repetitive puzzles. It can be fun, but not for everyone.
This game is "wow". The art is really nice to look at. The way the sound/music is used to build suspence and helps you find things.
I played through it for the first time and it's certainly a game that I would recommend.
It is supposed to be a horror game, but it's really mild. I think it will be fine for most people.
I look forward to discover what else I can do or choose in another playthrough.
Mouse’s favourite things
Third time that I enter.
Just like last month I started with 3 entries to not put too much pressure on myself.
Puzzle game
Educational game
I had wanted this game for a while when I won it and I am happy that I started playing it.
The game isn't artsy, but I don't miss it. I am a bit bummed that I only earned one achievement, but there are still many hours that I can play this game.
Game with boobs
I really REALLY like this game. But I had difficulty getting myself to play it this month. My heart wasn't into it. So I hope by leaving it alone for a bit, I will love playing it again in the future.
Games won on the Steamgifts website
I won this in a public giveaway.
I had wishlisted this game some time ago because the art and puzzels spoke to me. I do hope that I like it as much as I think I will.
I won this from a group only giveaway (Catizens 😻) and am super excited to play it!
But I waited in anticipation of the next PAGYWOSG. And there are some people who would like to see me stream this game, so I need to get that set up ASAP!
Games won on the GGPlayers website and discord
I didn't enter many giveaways this month, but when I saw the giveaway for this game I needed to enter!
The art isn't really pretty, but it does have something that I like. I can't really say why, but I like the game. It's funny and has plot twists that aren't always predictable.
I did get frustrated with the screenshots. Steam overlay screenshots don't work. So I had to take screenshots another way and add them later. That worked until it didn't work anymore. I do hope that I will be able to add future screenshots.
This game looked exciting, but I liked it less than I would have thought. Maybe I need to play it more to get to the good parts, I haven't played so much yet.
I do hope I can add it to the green or maybe even the blue list in the future.
What did I buy during the steam sale?
The game Another Sight has a cat in it. This DLC makes it possible to change the look of that cat.
I really liked that idea, so when it was cheap during the summer sales, I didn't doubt and got this fur changing magic!
FaceRig is a program that uses face tracking to have an avatar mimic your facial expressions.
I have had a lot of fun with that app (more than 8h play time 😅).
The avatars that you can use are 3D, but with this DLC it's now possible to use 2D avatars. It's the only DLC that I wanted badly.
So 🥳 for steam sales!
I think everyone here will know XCOM 2?
I have the game, I have DLC's and now I have them all!
I was actually only planning to buy this DLC. But well, this one alone cost around 13€. While both this and the next DLC cost around 8€... together!
Once I knew that, the decision wasn't so hard.
I heard a lot of good things about this game. So when it had a nice discount I decided to get it.
It might take a while before I play this since I prefer to play games that I won or got gifted first.
I played this game during the free weekend and really liked it. It's nice that a game isn't too easy.
I knew I wanted the game, but I wanted to wait till there was a good price and I had a little more money to spare.
So I'm super happy I was able to buy it during the sales.
This game just looks so great, has great reviews and looks like something that I would want to play.
During the sales it was around 5€, but if I bought for 30€ I would only need to pay 25€. So I basicly got this game for free. Yaay!
Games gifted to me
I had entered A LOT of giveaways (more than 120) in hopes of winning Oxenfree.
But I had no luck.
Then someone came to my rescue and gifted me their spare key. It really was so sweet of them! 💜
This is one of three games that I got for helping someone out.
This game interested me because I wanted to play a nice point and click, I liked the visuals and I love unraveling mysteries!
Out of nowhere I got this game sent to me. When I asked why they would give me this, a game that I have wanted for some time now.
They simply told me "Sometimes being a nice person pays off".
Thank you for that. 💜
The second game I got for helping out.
I have never been a dad, and I never will be. So the thought of exploring what it is like to be a dad spoke to me.
Especially the promise of using your child as a weapon is something I look forward to!
Someone bought the 4-pack and gave me a key so we could play together some time. It hasn't happened yet, but I do look forward to playing together!
Some people know that I like cats... Okay, that I LOVE cats and couldn't live in a world without cats!
And some of those people know that I like games with cats. So people sometimes gift me games with cats in them...
So thank you! 💜
To be clear, I do NOT have a cat problem. The only problem that I have is that I can't have MORE...
The third game I got for my help.
It has a slugCAT, do I really need to say more?
I really like the purple DLC design :)
Thank you! 💜
(I love purple 😅 )
Nice work on the report! :D
Just want to say that I absolutely love Crypt of the NecroDancer, and that’s pretty absurd, since I was able to beat only level 1 till now (I have been playing it every now and then, in the last 3-4 years I think) XD
But the kind of game, the style, the care for details, and the music are fantastic. I hope you will have fun with it!
BTW, nice organization of the profile, I think I will do something similar too, when I get time and will :D
Haha, that’s awesome that you love it so much and only beat lvl 1.
I completely understand. Sometimes a game is awesome but difficult.
‘Felix the Reaper’ is that game for me. I love the game and well, everything about it. But I don’t seem to have the right logic for it!
I’ll definitely check your profile to see the changes! As you know, you (and everyone) is most welcome to copy code to use for yourself. If you can’t find something, just ask and I’ll sent you the code 😉
I am thinking about adding an assassination plan, but I haven’t thought of a plan yet 😅
Thank you for your comment, I hope you have a great day! 💜
Felix the Reaper has indeed a lovely aesthetics, I tried it some months ago on GamePass and liked it :D
When I will need some inspiration, I’ll sure get back to your profile ;)
Have a great week!
Thank you! I hope you also have a great week 💜
I guess i become a member to GGP website through your ref. :D
🥳 I hope you feel welcome!
It’s always nice to get new members.
Very fancy! I tried playing through Oxenfree but I scare easy and quit. I did finish Hellblade so hopefully I have enough courage to finish it off with another go.
Hi, thank you for your comment! 💜
I also think I scare easily 😅 (I had to stop playing ‘The Coma: Recut’ because I kept screaming…)
But I thought Oxenfree was pretty mild. It might depend on what you find scary, I did jump a few times. But I felt okay with playing further.
If you still feel too scared thinking about playing it again, just wait a bit longer. There is no shame in that.
I have no experience with ‘Hellblade’ so I can say if it is better or worse than ‘Oxenfree’.
Jumpscares are the absolute worst for me. In Hellblade, I could at least kill the scary thing. (Cried the entire time sneaking my way through the trial of blindness though.) I think in Oxenfree, I flipped a lightswitch or something and everything went red and that was it for me. <3
