November’s Stats

aka. The Backlog Strikes Back

How has November been for you fellow assassins? Not a very productive month for me I’m afraid. Or more like, I finished a few games, but was weak and ended up adding more to the backlog of doom. At least, I managed to tackle 11 games for the monthly theme, even if they were not very long ones (with my internet problems I had to go with what was either light to download or already installed, so Shadow of Mordor and The Witcher 3 were out of question). I hope I’ll do better next month, but my provider shenanigans are still going, I’ll be away one week and then there is all the Xmas family duty the week after that. We’ll see how it goes.

Well, I wouldn’t call playing skyrim not productive. It’s like when I was stuck playing Fallout 4. It seems like you don’t progress for a while backlog-wise, but it’s so satisfying when you reach the end. Are you enjoying it btw?

Not very productive? You finished 14 games, and a few really long ones as well! Keep it up, let’s hope next month’s bundles are utter garbage so our stats will looks nicer. :D

Thanks for your nice words… I guess I felt disappointed in myself because i wanted to play either the witcher 3 or shadow of mordor for the monthly theme, but I couldn’t even manage to download them. And yes, let’s hope for crappy bundles (I had resisted pretty well in the past months but meh I caved in a lot in november, and traded for the ones I didn’t buy too. Booo.

Well, to your defense. You have added some interesting games to your backlog and some of them are even really fast to complete (like Hexcells and Hexcells Plus or Distraint). From which game is the image at the top? It is beautiful

Yeah i’m really excited for the Hexcells, they were coming in the same key I traded for one of my leftovers (I guess from a recent humble). I love having those little puzzle games to play at night if i’m watching a tv show or a movie. The image on top comes from Cinders. This game has really amazing drawings :)

Ah, Cinders. That was losely VN style if I remember correctly. Yea, the Hexcells puzzles are really good and they are all solvable by logic without guessing which shows the care for design. If you like puzzle games take a look at Square Logic as soon as you’ve beaten your small backlog ^^

Also, at night ….. do you try sleeping sometimes? Which reminds me that I checked today how long someone managed to do without sleep (checked for strange reason) and apparently up to 11 days is possible O.o

Yes it’s a VN of sorts, without much surprise as it’s loosely follows the Cinderella tale. It was visually very pleasant though :)

I’ll keep square Logic in mind if I come upon it. I see those smaller games as a different backlog than the AAA or even more demanding indie games as I can play those on my laptop while multitasking.

I DO sleep at night, mind you, but I don’t go to bed til midnight or 1am generally so I have to fill my evenings :p

Technically I already beat it on 360 but I never played the DLC so a friend gave me his extra key he got preordering Dishonored 2. I’m trying to restraint myself from buying the second til I replay the first, but then again I can’t download it for now (note that i wouldn’t be able to download the second yet either)
