January Games:
Pretty productive month for myself, definitely had more free time this month! Working on the plan of playing my sg wins as a priority first and I’ve been loving the use of this site mainly looking at the won gifts list seeing the bar change is really satisfying. “Beat” all types of games this month in terms of length, lots of short games, couple long games, long games which were halfway/almost done which I didn’t finish before.
OMG I finally beat my first sg win cough cough I guess that’s kinda not a brag but ya felt great finishing it… One more dungeon being a roguelite I did get close to halfway through, rage quitting pretty hard back then. Didn’t give it enough effort, like my earlier sg wins just entered everything and wouldn’t have entered for it now but actually had more fun then I thought I would with it. Other then it being pretty hard the rage inducing moments I have made me struggle in actually beating the game….and now I kinda want to “complete” the game…but maybe a bit later…last modifiers required for the achievements scare me :(
Bloooooooons loving this game so far. Unclear when to tag “beat” for some games but just gonna label it there for now. Lots more for me to do for sure but this month was probably the most hours I’ll put into it. Beat all the maps on easy mode, beat some odysseys, beat some races, played some coop, got 50% achievements. I’ll probably play a bit a day going forward, slowly…climbing to some of the longer achievements (claim 365 daily logins etc… the grind). But man the nostalgia of this game and how much fun it actually is surprised me, I didn’t buy this myself, one of the reason I love sg, that I can play some of these games I wouldn’t have gotten myself for wtv reasons. It was 90% off at the time $1 for me, I remember gifting it to someone else right after winning it cause I was like $1?!? why didn’t I buy this sooner.

TLDR: Hopefully will keep it up!
Woohooo! You are doing great! 🥳
It sometimes is difficult to decide when a game is beaten. I asked around a bit and have my understanding of it on my profile here (Lexicon tab).
But in the end it is your decision when you consider something beaten or completed. You’ll notice that people here often have their own view and definition for it.
Mhmm that definition is what I usually have been going for and I do like how it is your own definition in the end. Harder to say for different games like bloons where I don’t think there is a main story, or brawlout a multiplayer game…which I have no multiplayer matches since…it’s kinda dead…but at least there were some singleplayer arcade modes with a somewhat story challenge I decided to call it beaten.
Woohoo! Ya some ggp incentives here and there help as well ^^
Congrats on all of your assassinations! Loved Fault: Milstone 1 and 2! How was Moonlighter?! It’s in my backlog still.
Thanks! Will have to look into Fault milestone 2 still… haha that ending of 1 and all the characters in the beginning that you meet…will have to see what there is to come.
I really enjoyed moonlighter. Not really great at reviews but it was pretty fun in general. What I enjoyed most was the selling aspect in the game. Where you actually run a shop and all the mats/items you collect in the dungeon you can either use some for yourself or sell to get money to upgrade your own stuff later. I love selling things in mmo’s etc and ripping off npc’s felt really great, having to choose what to keep through the dungeon with random mechanics to help you earn more money. Had some rage moments when you lose all your stuff cause you decided to stay in the dungeon a bit too long…took a break and came back to it and it was all good! It also had a cool ending to it which I found interestig, still have to grab some more doable achievements and try some of the new game+ content.
P.S. kinda bummed about 1 achievement “complete the game in 10 hours” when I chilled/slacked off before I knew about the achievement…and look at my save file at 10.5 hours :’)
Thanks for the report! Looks like good progress.
I first read, “OMG I finally beat my first sg win” as “OMG I finally beat an SG win for the first time!” instead of “OMG I finally the beat the game that was my first win on SG.” =)
Haha ya the wording wasn’t too great! xD
