Hello BLAEO!
This is my very first post here ^_^
I want to make at least monthly posts here documenting my fight against my (ever increasing) backlog. Not sure if I can make weekly progress reports though at this point.
So, since it’s the start of June, why not make some plans?
Games I plan to finish this month:
Mass Effect™ Legendary Edition

Welcome to blaeo see you’ve already made yourself comfortable with the generator. Those are some nice and big games you plan to play/100% so good luck with those
Thank you :)
Welcome aboard.
What are your thoughts on Mass Effect LE so far? Did you play the original game(s)?
Thank you!
I played the original games up to Mass Effect 2 and thoroughly enjoyed them. Didn’t play all the DLCs and ME3 though, and it was so long ago (almost a decade) that playing ME:LE basically feels like playing a new game.
So far: ME:LE is incredible. ME1 had extremely clunky combat and gameplay and LE improves that quite a bit. It doesn’t ‘fix’ the weird inventory system but changing that would probably be way too radical. Graphics are rather amazing and the game has some of the sharpest texture work I’ve seen in any recent AAA game. Load times are another area of improvement, the entire game loads in 4-5 seconds from the main menu and after about ~3 seconds in an elevator you get the option to skip all dialog and load the next area immediately (not that I would want to!). It runs like a dream (playing at 1440p 60fps and experienced no framedrops or stutters). Do note that I’ve only played about 40% of ME1 though. No idea about how the improvements are in ME2 and 3.
As a Mass Effect fan, so far it’s everything I could’ve asked for in a remaster.
I have some screenshots on my profile you can check if you want. The photo mode is nice!
Neat. Yeah, combat was one aspect I suspected they would tweak since it was, in my opinion, what made the original ME1 clunky to play. Because it was an RPG using TPS mechanics for combat and they didn’t introduce a proper cover system until ME2. Did they add controller support? Playing the entire trilogy with M&K always felt odd.
Yeah it supports controllers quite nicely. I’ve actually been playing with my Dualshock 4 instead of KB+M most of the time. My only issue is that controller buttons are not remappable in-game (while KB+M controls are all fully remappable). Had to get used to some actions being mapped to ‘weird’ controller buttons but now I’m used to it :P
Hueue goodluck lots of nice big games there :D
Thanks! I’ve already made some nice progress on Nier. Just need to play through the story. The speedrun achievement will probably be a bit difficult though😐
