Update 35: 2019 or A year in the life of my backlog

I really can't believe it. The year is over and a new decade begins. And my poor backlog is screaming (poor baby :( ).

In the last year I've beaten/completed 105 games, in 1392.5h. That's 13.26h per game on average.

I might have nearly doubled my backlog, but at the same time I played a lot of games, so that percentage wise I improved a lot.

For SG wins from 83,33% of unfinished or never touched wins to 58,13% (a 25,2% drop). And for the overall backlog from 98,01% of unfinished or never touched games to 82,58% (a 15,43% drop) (I am also counting the ones not recognized by BLAEO which is why the amount of games are slightly higher ;) ).

In January I've beaten 1 game, completed 3 games and abandoned 1 game. So a total of 5 games in January 2019. I also spent significant time on Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Ultimate Edition (about 4h) and Majesty 2 (about 11h).
In February I've beaten 2 game, completed 5 games and abandoned 1 game. So a total of 8 games in February 2019.
In March I've beaten 4 games, completed 1 game and abandoned 1 game. So a total of 6 games in March 2019. I also spent significant time on Stories: The Path of Destinies (about 6h).
In April I've beaten 2 games, completed 0 games and abandoned 1 game. So a total of 3 games in April 2019. I also spent significant time on Yakuza 0 (over 40h) and Stories: The Path of Destinies (over 19h).
In May I've beaten 5 games, completed 7 games and abandoned 1 game. So a total of 13 games in May 2019. I also spent significant time on Puddle (over 9h), SeaBed (over 7h) and Starlight Drifter (over 9h).
In June I've beaten 5 games, completed 2 games and abandoned 1 game. So a total of 8 games in June 2019. I also spent significant time on Shadwen (over 19h). Stories: The Path of Destinies (over 3h) and 3 days: Zoo Mystery (1h).
In July I've beaten 5 games, completed 3 games and abandoned 0 game. So a total of 8 games in July 2019. I also spent significant time on Faerie Solitaire (over 18h), Faerie Solitaire Remastered (over 28h), LEGO® MARVEL Super Heroes (over 2h) and Snake Pass (over 6h).
In August I've beaten 2 games, completed 14 games and abandoned 0 game. So a total of 16 games in August 2019. I also spent significant time on Vanquish (over 8h), Tooth and Tail (over 2h), Faerie Solitaire (over 2h) and Remember Me (over 2h).
In September I've beaten 5 games, completed 2 games and abandoned 0 game. So a total of 7 games in September 2019. I also spent significant time on American Truck Simulator (over 23h), Mafia (over 19h), Faerie Solitaire (over 9h) .
In October I've beaten 3 games, completed 4 games and abandoned 0 game. So a total of 7 games in October 2019. I also spent significant time on Purrfect Date (over 13h), Tales from the Borderlands (over 5h) and Cat Quest (over 9h).
In November I've beaten 11 games, completed 3 games and abandoned 0 game. So a total of 14 games in November 2019. I also spent significant time on Farm Together (over 60h), The Night of the Rabbit (over 4h) and Life is Strange: Before the Storm (over 3h).
In December I've beaten 3 games, completed 7 games and abandoned 0 game. So a total of 10 games in December 2019. I also spent significant time on Farm Together (over 14h), S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl (over 8h) and The Adventure Pals (over 2h).

Thats an amazing progress overall but yeah you werent kidding. you did double your backlog in 1 year….

Please do not think i did not game before. But I did not game on Steam for the longest time. Mostly just DRM-free or other platforms. I basically started to fight my backlog with finding SG. So I see more success in my future :D

just realised i basically did the same as well! I gained over 200+ games from the start of the year
Post I did go down like 13% but still added over the amount of backlog i managed to do this year
Oh there we go I managed to gain 100+ in a 3 month time frame. Thats all my readding + free games stacking up right there. Making my % look worse then it is
