I’m slowly taking care of my gift games, having beaten Greedfall and Vampire Survivors and now slowly working on Pyre. I also got a few gifts from my Secret Santa at TalePlay - thanks again, you’ve got great taste :)
I got distracted with Team Fortress 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 recently, with the recent MvM event and I just had an urge to play some L4D2 and hunt achievements while at it.
Also I went on that vacation I wrote about in the last post… Gdańsk and Sopot were lovely to visit and I lucked out on weather as it was very warm, almost as if it was summer. In just 4 days I managed to see a lot of places and even tasted some new food, as there was a food hall near my hotel. I really enjoyed the vacation as it was a break from being stuck on a farm in the countryside, surrounded by crop fields and the forest.
Mentally I’m still struggling somewhat but I managed to find professional help so hopefully it will get better in the following months.

How does it feel to be done with Vampire Survivors? I love the game and got the DLCs as soon as I could after completing the main content, but I put it on hold right near the end (aka the Contra DLC), because it started getting to me.
I’m jealous you got to go to Gdańsk and Sopot, even though I live by the sea already. I can’t believe I’ve never been! Also, what about Gdynia? Not enough time to go?

It felt great, the whole game was amazing and chasing achievements was very fun. For some reason it doesn’t look like they added any for the Among Us and Contra DLC. Still, it’s pretty insane how they managed to land an Among Us collab and I’m baffled by why Konami, in their infinite wisdom, decided to make a Contra collab instead of a Castlevania one? It seems like they do Castlevania collabs with everyone but Vampire Survivors and Contra collabs with no one except for Vampire Survivors… Despite that, the Contra DLC is still very good.
I would recommend Gdańsk and Sopot sometime, those cities are both lovely. I didn’t have enough time to go to Gdynia, hell, 4 days wasn’t enough to see everything in Gdańsk xD So maybe I’ll do another vacation there to visit places I haven’t seen yet. Like inside the crane, because it was closed for renovations.
BLAEO+ already has Steam Deck compatibility and ProtonDB badges, both of which help with picking games to play on Steam Deck :)
I was convinced the new achievements were tied to the Contra DLC… did I spend money for nothing? SMH…
I’ve only recently started learning that Konami is apparently king of bad decisions when it comes to prolific game studios… I don’t know anything about Castlevania, and even I think that makes far more sense as a collab IP for VS than Among Us…
Four days really is a short vacation, no matter where you go (almost)… But Trójmiasto especially, I mean, it is three cities right next to each other xD
I only just realized it’s a whole another thing and added it to my browser, ha! It’ll take a bit of getting used to for sure.
They only added achievements for the first 2 DLCs.
I’m pretty sure there isn’t a better-fitting collab for VS than Castlevania. Which makes Konami’s decision even more mind-boggling. Among Us was an insane collab, I’m surprised that it turned out well at all.
Yeahhh Trójmiasto is huge, sadly I can’t really go on any long vacation. But I did manage to see a lot in those 4 days. My legs were begging me for mercy at the end xD
Yeahh BLAEO+ adds a lot of new stuff and there’s going to be even more next update :)

Easily the worst part of any vacation, for sure!
And the best part is, in two weeks I’ll have to torture my legs again xD I will be going to Warsaw this time, for 6 days. There’s plenty of places to see there and there are even retro gaming/computing museums! There’s even one with retro pinball machines and one with neons. I was nearly instantly sold on the idea to go there.
What in the world? That’s crazy cool and I can’t believe I haven’t heard of it before! I’ll have to look them up and go next time I get the chance!
