Monthly Update: August 2024

I made progress this month!
A few games beaten, some progress in others, and I managed to stick to my priority list pretty well.

So I actually made some significant progress this month!
Half-Life 2

Enshrouded

52.8 hours
37 of 37 achievements

Very fun game to play with friends!

I also managed to build a secret door into our base and it was only found after 5-10 minutes when someone 'accidentally' took their pickaxe out and found the hidden floor underneath. How dare they!
But anyway, it was a fun time!

Half-Life 2

My Time at Sandrock

139.9 hours
59 of 60 achievements

I hate this game.

Not really, but it has left me very annoyed as there is a bugged achievement I tried to get for many, many hours after finishing the grindy achievement. So yes, all my good feelings of this game have now fled. It was enjoyable (before attempting to get this bugged achievement), and had better QoL than My Time at Portia.

But yes, my feelings of resentment is all it has left me with haha

Half-Life 2

God of War

22.1 hours
17 of 37 achievements

I finally went back and finished it!
I really enjoyed the story, controls were a bit iffy sometimes as a m/k player.

Not sure if I'll 100% as there were a LOT of collectibles left.

Half-Life 2

Hades

20.3 hours
14 of 49 achievements

I guess I have technically beaten this game a few times, but I feel getting the 'Epilogue' is the real ending?? So I will leave this as unfinished.

I found I enjoyed it a lot more on my desktop than my Steam Deck!

Half-Life 2

Hi-Fi RUSH

3.4 hours
11 of 71 achievements

Like Hades, I've tried this on desktop with m/k and am enjoying it a lot more than when I tried it on my Steam Deck.

Gosh, your “Played” list is very similar to my top “Wishlisted” games hahaha at least I recently was able to get Hades on the Xbox store, so excited to get into it! The artstyle looks amazing

Hades is great! It took me a little bit to get into it, but once I did it has been fun! I did try it on the Steam Deck originally and moved to the desktop and that made me like it a bit more, control wise.
I’ve mostly been playing it when chatting on discord with friends. Easy to listen in/chat but be able to concentrate/play on the game as well. I found it harder to do that with games like God of War. It’s also excellent if you like Greek mythology!
