Main Quest #193 - 1 November 2024
Played Mafia 2 a few years ago and it was nice to play this one now. I’ve always heard good things about Mafia. What stands out about it is clearly the story and its characters, since the shooting and driving mechanics is nothing to write home about. I enjoyed playing through Lost Heaven and especially listening to the radio stations.
Even though this one’s a remake, you can definitely feel that the original game is from the 2000s because of the missions structure and etc. I wish there was more of a build up with each character’s relationship throughout the game, but it still was enough for me to get attached to some characters. I’m glad I played through it now and look fowrad to “replaying” the second game (now in its Definitive Edition, as well) before giving another try to the third entry, which I started playing a few years ago but wasn’t feeling it at the moment.
