Alright. January is basically in the books. I’m currently playing Vendir: Plague of Lies, but it’ll be a minute before I wrap that one up. I did finish everything I started and enjoyed this month outside of Vendir, and paused nothing. I think Nobody Wants to Die was the standout title for me. Just a super cool game. Zompiercer NG+ felt like a stellar reward for having played through NG, so that was great. Black Geyser was a pretty neat CRPG with a cool concept. And King Arthur: Knight’s Tale was a content dense TRPG that I quite enjoyed.

January Completions

  1. Black Geyser: Couriers of Darkness (Steam)
  2. Forest Ranger Services: Episode 1 (Steam)
  3. Under A Star Long Cold (Steam)
  4. Zompiercer [NG+] (Steam)
  5. A Conversation With A Magical Deer (Steam)
  6. Year Unknown (Steam)
  7. Qazaq: Son of the Sun (Steam)
  8. Tree Hugging Simulator (Steam)
  9. King Arthur: Knight’s Tale (Steam)
  10. Utility for the Soul (Steam)
  11. My monstrous roommate. (étude) (Steam)
  12. Nobody Wants to Die (Steam)

January Retirements

  1. Dustland Delivery - Cool game, but the gameplay loop started to wear thin for me after about ten hours.
  2. Relaxing Simulator - There’s not really much to this game. It’s pleasant and relaxing, but I won’t really ever get all the cheevos or anything, and there isn’t much to bring me back to it in general.
  3. Untravelled Planet - Not a good game
  4. WhereHurt - Currently unpolished. The dev is working on it though, so maybe I’ll revisit it later.

Plans for February

I’ll play Vendir: Plague of Lies and Frostpunk 2 for sure. And I’ve got a couple curator licenses that will be on my playlist. Beyond that, I’m gonna keep my plans modest and just see how things shake out.

Congratulations on your assassinations!!! ᓚᘏᗢ
Best of luck on your February games! I’ve heard a lot of positive things about the Frostpunk games but I’ve never been a big city-builder.

Thanks. I’m also not big into city builders, but Frostpunk had a lot of interesting ways to keep you engaged. I hear 2 has a lot of changes but it also a crazy game, so definitely looking forward to it.

Congratulations, did you liked King Arthur: Knight’s Tale ?, not really into turn based rpg, but pretty liked game from NeocoreGames devs (Van Helsing hack’n’slash series)

I thought it was really cool. It’s a lengthy game, but if you like Arthurian legend, it is a fun take on that. You definitely need to enjoy tactics RPG games though to enjoy this one. It’s like 60 hours of that.
