I hate cheap jumpscares, and this "horror" HOG is full of it. So after being jumped twice I said "fuck you", gave the game a middle finger and muted the game. lol Thus, I played the game with my own music in the background, and none of the jumpscares got me afterwards, and boy there's a ton of cheap ones. The only "horror" aspect in this game are them, and everything else are kinda shitty. The puzzles are boring, the HOG elements are kinda annoying because there's no location fast travel, and worst of all, I got motion sick by its switching room camera movement. I'm not one to normally get motion sick and plays most 3D games just fine. Even VR doesn't really bother me(granted I've only tried those for at max 30 minutes with those free tickets at malls), but this game managed to get me dizzy and sick that I have to close my eyes when moving after a while. So definitely would not recommend. lol

I wouldn't say I have a lot of expectations for this game? But for a rare occasion of games I picked to play myself, and one I've gifted to a friend to play, I did have some expectations. Perhaps that's why I'm a bit more critical of it? Because I did enjoy it(not by a lot), but got annoyed by it way more.
This is a pixel artstyle platformer that tries to do the "minion is the hero" type story, but didn't quite land it for me because the writing is a bit generic. I talk to each enemy before attacking them, but their dialogue is either tips(which I appreciate but doesn't add to the personality of the characters) or boring filler that serves as the answers of the quiz show. There's really no incentive to bribe them instead of fighting them(other than I guess monkeys for the correct way through the jungle and mask kids for the achivement) as you lose precious money and doesn't gain much. And there's also a mechanic of rhythmn in combat? You get a bonus to damage if your attack is synced with the beat, and the special attack also requires you to attack on beat. The problems with that is 1. the beat is very much not obvious in the music(at least to me, and I played a fair bit of rhythmn games before) and 2. the music goes out of sync after you're in combat a while which is the most bizarre thing that renders that gimick completely useless, so I really only tried to do that at the start and quickly gave up. If I get it by chance that's good but if not then so be it. Ok combat not good, what about platforming? That's really not a main focus of this game either? Every map has their style and some little gimick, but the base platforming abilities never changed and you only have jump and glide. Tho perhaps that's unfair since the platforming games I've loved were all metroidvania games? And the story and the "plot twist" makes sense, but also didn't grab me because the writing feels boring and the final boss feels too Undertale-esque?
I don't really know how to feel about this game. I did enjoy it, and it's a nice game, but at the same time there's no highlights to the game, and all I can think about are the annoyances.

I had a really great time playing this game. Played it in single-player and had to get used to controlling both characters for quite a bit, and that lead to a few deaths. xD The puzzles were fun to figure out, and despite being dark a lot of the times the environment is really beautiful. Definitely recommend this game if you like puzzle games.

I adore this game. It's such a chill and fun little game where you organize things where they should gp, and the subtle story telling with where things should and shouldn't be, and existing items when you move into another place is awesome.

This is the demo to the game that's actually out now, and I enjoyed it very much so I'm planning on getting it this summer sale. :3 It's a clicker/idle game set in 3D where you punch tree/rocks and collect resources to make buildings that'll help you automate stuff. It's the perfect kind of feedback loop where you always have something to do in the game, and you're always progressing and unlocking a new thing, whether it be new tools, buildings or new biomes. It just scratches the itch of wanting these kinds of game very well. x3

An FPS game that started as so bad it becomes good again with the horrible voice acting and just bizarre story-line, but overstayed its welcome.

I love this game so so much. This game tickles my brain the same way as Viscera Cleanup Detail games where I can just boot up the game, go into a shift and just zone out. It's such a zen experience and I love it. The gameplay part of it that is. But unlike Viscera, this one actually has a story, which is kinda....lame? Like, honestly I really like the character designs even tho they are pretty cliche tropes. We've got the nice supervisor, old employee that's been there and seen it all, a passionate troublemaker that cares a lot about the job itself, and the rookie that's bad at the job. But they are all kinda nice and I like the voice acting, but the plot just has way too many plot holes, especially towards the end. Like, the company owns us because of the cloning thing right? If we're doing protests, instead of the douche supervisor stopping our controls, how about the company just, idk, kill us? lol If the thrusters and what not can be stopped then surely the oxygen system can be turned off as well. And how when Lou got terminated they sent her back home?? Like, didn't do anything else to her, was super nice and just sent her back home. Is this the evil cooperation we're protesting against or they're actually not that bad. xD

Got gifted this in sg Discord secret santa, and I am extremely biased with this game because I grew up watching Harry Potter movies and consuming fandom content like fanfic and fanart, so this game is just such an amazing experience for me purely on the aesthetic. Everything looks gorgeous and I'm in awe when I see the castle and the details and the landscape, and I love dressing up my character in all kinds of lovely robes and capes and long jackets, and the creatures have I talked about all the fantastic creatures? They are soooooo cute omg! Just seeing everything turn to life and actually playing a game in the world makes me happy. <3 But as for the gameplay, it was ok? I had fun with it tho it was pretty easy, and the characters/plot was a bit bland, but that doesn't matter at all to me. lol What matters is the environment and the world and they nailed it.

This game makes me angry. lol I feels like it's designed to make people angry with the controls and the stages. Like, I'm actually fine with the normal stages, although some I had to look up a guide(looking at you eye surgery with sticking the knife in the eye to pull it out, how the hell am I suppose to figure that out myself?!). But the corridor stage where I had to wait for the right cart with the thing I needed to show up just makes me want to punch something. I died so many times just waiting for the god damn organ cart to show up but it just doesn't show up and the patient bleeds out. >.> Honestly, I don't really recommend this game because I don't even find it "fun", it's just something that I'm like "ok this works like that I can do that"

This game also makes me angry. xD Not really that lucky with the games this month. But unlike Surgeon Simulator, this game is more "boring and frustrating" than "making me want to punch a hole in the wall". The gameplay just feels like a chore simulator? It's a lot of going to a place, moving a thing over where it's supposed to go, find the path to the switch and click it then it opens another path, so on and so forth. And it's just really boring for me. At the start I quite like the world and setting, but it doesn't change much tbh and since there's no dialogue and not much story I didn't get invested at all in saving the world which is what I'm trying to do. lol As for the frustrating part, the lack of direction is one thing because a lot of times I would find myself getting lost and not knowing just what I should do or where I should go, and exploring is not fun either because of the other bad things which are the boring combat, the stupid collision of environment and the constant moving camera. Combat is boring because there's no fun interactions on how to deal with enemies, it's all just "dodge then attack" that gets repetitive really quickly, The collision is the most frustrating of all, with the character sometimes just not grabbing onto the ledge, other times sliding off of the edge(especially when jumping onto pipes) and other times there's visually a thing there but with no collision so I just fall to my death, like there would be the top of the tree just beside a mountain cliff that I thought would either stop me or can be stepped, but nope. Combine that with the moving camera that sometimes get fixed in really annoying angles, other times move way to much that it gets dizzying, you have a game that just makes me really unhappy.
That can’t be right.. 2 years?!? Where has the time gone.
I loved the way they did the castle in Hogwarts Legacy! I liked the characters like Sebastian and Ominis, but did think they could have made the story a lot better. Ah well. And really, who hasn’t read a fanfic or a million of HP… not me….
The castle and also Hogsmead are just absolutely gorgeous! Love the visuals of the game. <3 And yeah, Sebastian and Ominis are definitely quite likeable, tho I’d like them to give a bit more time to the other companions as well since they focused on Sebastian so much more. Also the plot line was a little bit cliche. ^^;
Is Sebastian your favorite character? Ngl I swoon for professor Sharp just cuz of his deep voice, and his design is awesome as well. I also quite like the douche headmaster and was giggling so damn much when the mc polyjuice potioned into him. xD
Sorry for the super late reply :P
Hogwarts and Hogsmeade design and graphics were definitely the stars of the game!
I liked Ominis the best actually! Sebastian was fun, but a bit over the top in comparison.
Yeah I loved Headmaster Black (and Simon Pegg who played him)!
I think the weakest part was actually the main character and the way they made them a 5th year who was just murdering everyone and everything.. I read a comment somewhere it would have made more sense for the character to be an undercover auror or something.
Surgeon Simulator. I remember raging at that one, lol. While also laughing.
Yeah that one got me quite angry. xD Think I might’ve slammed my desk once or twice, not good with these kinds of games. lol
