December Assassination #5

6.1 hours

If you, like me, spend some time on gaming Youtube, you're guaranteed to have seen footage from Journey. I had a vague idea of what the game was about before playing it today, and while I enjoyed my time with it, I fail to understand what all the hype about the game is. Maybe it's because during my playthrough I never saw another player, even though the game told me I met eight companions during my play. Bug, glitch, or lack of luck? I don't know, but it didn't leave a strong impression on me.

After souring on Flower, that's a 2/2 mixed feelings for thatgamecompany. Not sure if I'm willing to give them a third chance.

Steam Review

Fallen Kal

The problem is you are dead inside :D I really enjoyed it, but it’s definitely more of an artsy game. Didn’t care much about other players joining my game because they always wanted to rush.

How did you know? ⚰⚱☠

Most of the commentary I heard from people is how magical the game is when you’re playing with someone else, how harder some scenes hit like the chase scenes with the flying guardians, or the struggle through the snow peak. I’d love to have experienced it. Still unclear why it didn’t work for me. Oh well, it is what it is haha

Fallen Kal

Most definitely not in my experience, unless you happen to get teamed up with someone who plays the same way you like to play maybe. But it’s not magically going to transform the game if you didn’t enjoy it. I just think it’s because there aren’t many people playing ‘Journey’ anymore. I really liked it, but mostly as a solo experience, like I said I don’t like teaming up with randoms, especially those who just want to rush through the game.
