Congratulations on all of your assassinations! You’ve played a lot this month! Any favorites? I really like Grim Fandango but, man, I needed to follow a guide nearly step-by step.

Thanks, ah these aren’t just in one month, tend to poop out list here abour 4 times a year, so it’s more of 3 months worth of gaming. :) Grim Fandango went on mediocre/average list for me, really do like it’s style, voice acting, music and story but the puzzles are so absurd and think there was at least one that was total guess game. Also did use the guide myself and was surprised when got 8 hours for it, but HLTB’s were easily over 10 and more hours, but no wonder due the style of the puzzles.

Sekiro was surprisingly good, as could play it without constant parrying and instead kept moving/dodging/jumping out of the harms way. At first felt it sucked totally and was pretty tedious at first, but got better after opened few skills and got few upgrades to deal with pair of annoying human enemies. Still was on bit harder path, as could choose where to go, so it one part of the issue. Other enemy was off the beaten path too.

Bayonetta is probably top dog in it’s genre and totally recommend checking it out! Shame 2nd isn’t on PC and 3rd is apparently just coming out on Nintendo.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy was excellent, good banter between people, very nice to look at. Bomb soundtrack on both professional and amateur side. Tad performance issues in first are, but overall worked pretty well beside pair of phases.

Deep Rock Galactic is very good alone or with friends. Dropped it before from my wishlist, but friend throwed copy at me and we played together and will likely do so in future too.

UNSIGHTED is very nice addition to metroidvania genre, though it’s view angle is bit different and in sense feels due it like not being in genre though it certainly does things like that. Went towards it with boss 5 first and boss 1 last route, which did make the route far more finicky, but started to open up when found right upgrades and places.

Honorary mentions go for:
Call of the Sea which is nice take on Cthulhu
Omno while being simple game had good QoL and gameplay ideas
Postal: Brain Damaged with nice boomer shooter entry
Shadow Tactics: Aiko’s Choice for adding more to a great game
Technobabylon honestly deserve to be more than honorary, but babbled more than enough
Warpips for being spontaneuos pickup and giving fun tug of war experience
Yes, Your Grace surprising with it’s fairly solid story and overall simple, but engaging design
