Main Quest #68 - 05 September 2019
I was really eager to play this game since it released in 2016 so when I bought a desktop good enough to play it in December I traded for it and then proceeded to immediately forget about it. until two months ago and went to see how much space would it take to install (steam said +30 GB) so I had to wait a bit more to clear up the space, which wasn’t necessary after all since it was only 18 GB. Anyway, I really enjoyed Quantum Break (and have been enjoying every other Remedy game). I’m a sucker for time-traveling everything (games, movies, books, you name it) even though sometimes it gets too much for my brain to understand, but in the end, I think I understood everything that happened in this game. I actually was a fan of the live tv shows sections in between acts, but I can see how some people wouldn’t (but in 10 hours of the game it was only around 2 hours of tv show). The gameplay was cool for a third-person shooter and the time mechanics were pretty fun overall. My only complaint is about the last boss, that even on easy was a bit chaotic, but after 2 or 3 tries I was able to defeat it without a problem.
Also, I previously said that I was gonna play a bunch of uplay games this month thanks to uplay+, but to actually use the free trial I would have to link a credit card and pay $1 (which would be later returned) but since I wasn’t feeling very comfortable with that I just didn’t do it and instead focused on steam.
Windows shows my QB game folder as 70GB in size. Do you have compression enabled? BTW I enjoyed the game just as much as you did. I don’t think I’ll play through it again a second time, but I definitely want to watch the shows for the other junctions I didn’t pick during my first play through.
I don’t think so, I have already uninstalled the game but now that I see the difference in the HDD it might have been the 30 GBs, but while I was installing the game it said 18 GB on steam, so I’m not sure after all.
I know that in the end it all comes up to the same ending and battle boss, but are there any differences between the different junctions?
PS: I think it was thanks to your update that I remembered I owned the game so thank you for that!
Usually Steam file downloads are compressed, but Steam uncompresses the files after download. So that might explain what you saw at a certain point in time.
I heard that junction choices impact the show, but they don’t really effect the gameplay much. I just found the shows for alternate junction choices on Youtube, and hope to watch them later this month.
That’s cool a post of mine helped you find something you’d enjoy!
I might have to check them on youtube too, then! Thank you!
