Hey there folks! It’s been a little while.
So, recently I asked people on sg to recommend me games from my library and I thought it was a nice opportunity to also come back to Backlog Assassins.
I believe I’ve beaten some games during my absence, mostly Switch games (Breath of the Wild, Bayonetta, Super Mario Odyssey) but I really can’t remember about Steam games because tbh the only reason I remember the Switch games is because I see the boxes.
But anyway, last week I completed Amnesia: The Dark Descent. I thought it was a cool game. I’m not much into scary games, I barely finished Outlast and abandoned DreadOut so when someone told me this was scarier than Outlast I was hesitant. I don’t think it is, or at least it didn’t scared me more than I remember Outlast doing so. There was very few moments with monster and usually I just have to wait for them to go away while crouching and looking at the wall as I do with my irl problems. I also found that the game was very forgiving if I die, which I really appreciate because repeating an objective can be very frustrating, specially in a game where you can’t defend your self.
Overall a cool game, not very scary. I didn’t feel like replaying it for achievements because meh and most of them are secret. I gave Justine a try but I’m not into permadeath so after my first try I just uninstalled the game to make room for others.
That’s it, I hope everybody is staying safe and have a nice week!
I found this so good in creating a scary atmosphere, that I haven’t found the will to play the other chapter of the series yet XD
Yeah, you can see that I’m not really into horror, too. I’m stuck playing Dead Space for the same reason.
Yeah, even tho the monster weren’t that scary or anything everytime one appeared I was like OH GOD WHERE DO I HIDE. I have two more Amnesia games that I haven’t tried. Maybe when I clear all the suggestions I got. I haven’t played Dead Space but hopefully will someday.
