February Update
I unfortunately haven’t completed any games this month as real life got in the way. I thought the biggest hurdle would be sadness since this month would have been my mom’s 58th birthday had she not died last summer. Apparently that wasn’t enough because my dad had to be rushed to the hospital this month and came close to dieing. As it is he has been diagnosed with a host of problems and probably won’t make it another year. On a good note tho we did visit my in-laws and got to enjoy a day at the beach and our first Mardi Gras parade which the kids loved. I’m hopeful that next month will be much better.
On a side note for those interested…I ended my last month post stating I was taking my two boys to see Monster Truck in theaters. My sister met me there with her two kids and my biggest worry was that my youngest would get too fussy and I had to step out. Turns out there are worse things than crying lol. Around the last 20 minutes of the movie my youngest threw up all over himself and me…I cleaned us up the best I could and we finished the movie wet and smelly ugh…
I’m so sorry, Irdra. 57 is far too young to pass, and I hope your father surprises the doctors (and you!) and lives a long life. As a father or two five-year-olds, I know what it’s like to worry about having to step out from something otherwise fun…I’m sometimes afraid to go places with my son. But being thrown up upon? I don’t know how old he is, but I’m guessing you thought you were past that.
I hope March is a better month for your family, your clothes (no vomit), and your gaming! <3
Thanks! He is currently home and we are hoping for the best. As for my son he wasn’t sick before or after the movie so I’m not sure what happened there. Maybe popcorn went down the wrong way or something but its all good lol.
Well here’s hoping for a better March. I can relate to your child experiences. I spent several hours one night last month sitting in our shower with our youngest as he had a vomiting bug that was going around.
Sounds like you had more than your share of bad things last month, I hope March will be nicer with you :(
Thank you! My dad is home now and seems to be doing better so doctors aren’t always right.
First of all, I’m sorry to hear about your father and I’m wishing him all the best for his recovery. And to you as well, I can understand how you have had enough worries on your mind at the time. Here’s hoping for better months to come for you and your family.
My father’s birthday is coming up, he also would have turned 58 this year. He passed away in 2015.
Thank you! My dad is home now and seems to be doing better so doctors aren’t always right.
Sorry to hear about your dad
wishing you a much better March!
Thanks! He is currently home and we are hoping for the best.
