Review: It is less of a maze game (the mazes are incredibly simple) and more of a test in patience as if you touch any of the edges of the the maze with your mouse it will reset you back to the beginning of the level. It is honestly frustrating, especially since the hitboxes don't feel very accurate either. It wasn't worth the original 0,79€ and it sure is not worth the increased price of 1,99€ it is now. It works without any issues on Linux with Proton (9.0-3).

Review: It is a slider puzzle game with 3 different difficulties (3x3, 4x4 and 5x5) and 10 different images to solve. It comes with a few issues: bad English, each level starts with the image being scrambled step by step which takes forever and from what I could tell you can not skip it and nonsensical price increase. I don't really care about the images either, but that is a subjective thing. It works without any issues on Linux with Proton (9.0-3).

Review: The idea is that you manipulate pieces of an object till you manage to reconstruct it. I wish I could say I liked it as graphic and atmosphere are just lovely but it has 3 issues: bad controls, pixel perfect position hunting and I had it happen multiple times that the level literally just wasn't solvable because a piece wouldn't move in the right direction as it should. Luckily restarting the game fixes the last one. Works fine on Linux with Proton (9.0-3).

Review: A nice movement based puzzle game with 90 levels to solve. Every 10 levels you get introduced to a new mechanic to keep the game fresh. Linux version of the game works without any issues.

Review: A decent and chill match 3 puzzle game where you build bigger buildings by matching. You have multiple different locations available (each have different grids or gimmicks) and cosmetic settings. On top of that you can also earn card power ups to help you. I wish there was some way of getting rid of buildings once they are built to the max level (8) and a way to back out of the card menu without actually using a powerup. Works fine on Linux with Proton.

Review:A HOG with too many flaws. It is extremely linear with only 1-2 scenes available to you at any time and suffers really badly from the HOG logic syndrome. Some mini games quite buggy and they pretty much all are really easy. On Linux if you into the setting menu and try to save something the game just straight up crashes and your settings don't get saved. However other than that the game works without any issues.

Review: I got pretty mixed feelings about this game. A city builder where you can not fail at all so it can get pretty boring as there is no challenge. There is multiple locations to build your city in, a pretty good amount of different buildings and decorations with 3 different color schemes. It would be a decent city builder game if you want just something extremely chill but the controls are just terrible and annoying. Works fine on Linux with Proton (9.0-3).

Review: A really good game where you are tasked with checking the documents of people who wish to enter Arstotzka via the Grestin checkpoint. It starts of simple but as the time goes on you get more and more things you need to pay attention to. It comes with a story, moral questions and get 20 different endings. It is really satisfying to play, however it can get a bit boring and repetitive if you try and get all the endings. Linux version works fine.

Review: I originally played the game in 2019 and I remembered really enjoying it. However now 5 years later I found it more annoying than not, but also poorly balanced and full of bad design choices (can't move buildings, having multiple of the same building gets stupid expensive, some things take way too long to craft,...). Also the developer behind it seems terrible. Works fine on Linux with Proton (9.0-3).
October report
October has been a pretty successful moth when it comes to gaming, especially when taking in consideration I been traveling for half of it and I actually re-100%ed a bunch of games again on top of the new completed games too.

Congratulations! Good balance of micro bite-sized wins and games, and more chunky ones. I played “Papers, Please” ages ago, and it was quite the experience. Hope I can sink into Forager sometime. The game loop looks very addictive!
Thank you! Yea, I really can’t complain about the progress at all.
I beat Papers, please originally in 2014, but a friend reminded me of it recently so I just got my last 3 missing achievements for it and I 100% agree with it being an experience.
I hope you will have more pleasant things to say about Forager than I did.
Here is my full review that I wrote to post on Steam (its in my queue to get posted, but haven’t gotten to it yet) if you care:
I originally played the game in 2019 and I remembered really enjoying it. However when I replayed it now 5 years later I honestly found it more annoying than not.
The store page claims
idle game that you want to actively keep playing
however at least personally I found that very much not true and you just kinda need to keep doing things to progress anywhere. I also found it poorly balanced and full of annoying little design choices (can’t move buildings, having multiple of the same building gets stupid expensive, some things take way too long to craft,…).
And when I was writing the review for this game I came across what actually happened with the game, with the promised multiplayer that never came and the lies by the game developer which helped making sense of things but also made me definitely not want to recommend this game at all.
The game used to have Linux support, but the developers ditched support for it. It however runs without any issue with Proton (9.0-3) however you need to force it to run like that as they have left the old broken Linux version that doesn’t even start for you to download by default
